  1. Great honkin' big kudos to cd4ever for the swell books, going above and beyond to get me the book I wanted when I typoed an issue number, and for his always entertaining sales threads. And great honkin' big kudos to Rhino for some more swell books and great freebies! Both gentlemen are A-1!
  2. If this happened to me on ebay I would have already filed. I’ve yet to have a package take more than 1 week to reach Canada, usually it’s 4-5 days. Are you certain its the post office and not lazy shipping? And to have a month go by with no response on the other is inexcusable. I don’t want a witch-hunt, but probation without any teeth is not going to do any good. If for some reason you don’t wish to out these people, I would truly appreciate a PM because they are not folks I would want to do business with.
  3. Heartfelt kudos for nice books and fast shipping to BigMike, cd4ever and Greggy! I was however slightly disappointed my books weren't wrapped in corrugated underwear boxes.
  4. I am a cynical sort; how does a clerical error justify a lack of response to your inquiries? If you don't feel comfortable outing this person here, would you mind sending me a PM? This isn't anybody I want to do business with either.
  5. But that has the effect of bumping viable, running sales posts down or potentially off the page. People aren't supposed to post multiple threads for separate books; pre-selling amounts to similar spam. A fitting punshment. But who's going to enforce it? It would be simpler and easier if pre-sales hype wasn't allowed so we didn't need a penalty. I'm probably not making myself popular with forum sellers with this post.
  6. Great gif! But do you have one for a long box?
  7. Yeah, although I wonder if things worked out for dudeman5000. That's way too long to get a response in my book, even if he finally heard something.
  8. I voted for this, especially when the hype is placed within multiple areas of the forum. As Tuco would say "If you're gonna shoot, shoot. Don't talk." Yup, same here. Y'know dzminn, there's two kinds of men in the world: Those with loaded guns, and those who dig.
  9. A poll by Arch missing the requisite crack option??! What are these boards coming to?
  10. First Unmovedmover, then KingofRulers, Rhino... I must be next!
  11. Uh, yeah... Kudos to people that I bought books from and actually sent them! Waitaminnut, I think my kudos are premature....
  12. Bring it on , I deserve it and I've got thick skin from working over 20 years in a male dominated industry on the Vancouver waterfront working with the odd animal or hoolligan longshoreman who would make some of you look like choir boys. But please be nice hazing me. I was only funnin'. And now I'm guilty of dragging a worthwhile thread OT.
  13. Aww come on, Fay's time here has been hazing-free. Let's give her the treatment!
  14. And kudos to Nik again for some nice funny books and for delivering them in person.
  15. I'm so in the habit of scrolling to the exact same spot for the Marketplace that I keep clicking on WTB by mistake.
  16. Who cares who frequents it? If I put up a WTB post, I couldn't care less who fills it. Lowest price wins. If a zilliion dealers respond to a WTB post, the price will come down. I tend to agree with this. Why does it matter who responds? Will forum members be LESS likely to respond simply because dealers are responding also? In the words of Bob Kaufman, of Bob's Dicount Furniture, "I DOUBT it!" (For you NE board members.) Plus, it will make the Market less cluttered.
  17. What's disgusting about an elephant passing gas?
  18. Ummm, no disrespect here to either drbanner (who I've happilly done business with) or blazingbob (who I haven't yet, but I respect), but can you explain how Bob is an "almost-dealer"? With his Overstreet ads, website, presence at the big shows and posting in the dealer forum, how does he qualify as an "almost-dealer"? Who's the next almost-dealer? Superword? Metropolis? Chuck???
  19. Overall, it sounds good to moises. A step in the right direction. Tho' I wish Wilson stepped in at post #21.
  20. Thanks! It reminded me of Battle 30 - Wow! Great cover I haven't seen with unusual coloring.
  21. Nice pickup. I was watching that one. Seems like there's been a spate of good books and buys lately.
