  1. Bought on the Boards many years ago when #19 was a blah book.
  2. I know this is probably a crazy idea, but if I had the same problem - which is time sensitive - I would call the company on the telephone immediately during business hours and speak to someone to attempt to intercept the book before it is encapsulated, packed and shipped back to you.
  3. Catch up time. Never cracked that one and then I couldn't do it so I picked up a reader.
  4. So nobody has any idea what the story on this collection is? Since it apparently is a Heritage designation, appearing on both CGC and Voldemort books, you'd think the info would be on the website somewhere. (Though it could also be a dealer designation but the books wound up on Heritage.) If it was originally in an auction catalog I missed it. Also, I've seen non-pedigree collections on Heritage in the past but this is the first time I recall seeing a sticker.
  5. Avengers #8, GD-. 1" spine split bottom, 1/2" spine split between staples, 1/4" abraded on top. $400. SOLD via PM.
  6. The majority of the reissues have been made from the original Aurora molds. Two that haven't been are The Witch and Dr. Jekyll, there's others, those are two off the top of my head. I've yet to buy or build a reissue and think it was inferior to any of my originals. There's a world or pro builders who make amazing kits with reissues.
  7. Hopefully the dubbing will be decent. While the dubbing in the Millennium series Godzilla films were an improvement over what I grew up with, the dialogue still left something to be desired and was a bit on the campy side. But even if it's not top shelf I'll bet the movie will be fun.
  8. Welp, I suspect nobody reading this forum cares but regardless, I saw it last night and thought it was pretty great. Seeing Ultraman on the big screen was a blast, the story was good and it was well made. I enjoyed it more than the last few Marvel movies I've seen. The reviews in general are very positive and right on the mark to me.
  9. Nay, 'twas a worthwhile endeavor! I clicked on this thread when I saw you had commented.
  10. CGC has always said in the past that the tooling costs would be prohibitive. I have no reason to doubt that especially since they always appear to be seeking out and implementing additional revenue streams. I'm rather glad that Treasuries can't be slabbed as I suspect it would only drive up the price and make them more difficult to come by.
  11. That's pretty cool. I assume you mean the one who starred in a few sci-fi movies.
  12. And always count pages before buying or submitting a book that's worth a few bucks.
  13. And if no soft brush is available, use nothing harsher than a microfiber cloth designed for cleaning perhaps? What sayest thou joeypost? I wouldn't want to wipe any of my books with any old rag. To the original poster, how exactly are you storing books that they've been accumulating dust?
  14. And finally a little Dan DeCarlo/Stan Lee goodness. Featuring the prototype of one of the big bad guys.
  15. Possibly the most oddball Atlas one-shot. This one dogged me for years, and I picked up this copy for a song. See what I did there?! A song!!?! Haw, haw, haw, haw!!!
  16. Been buying battle beaters, but you can't go wrong with a Stan Goldberg tobacco sunburst cover!
