  1. And just remembered this one. Again, probably the best spot if there has to be one, and it kept the price reasonable.
  2. I was just filing some books and came across this one. Not such a bad spot at least.
  3. That's interesting; I didn't recall Godzilla, Kong and The Witch being slightly larger.
  4. That's this weekend. Looks like I won't be there!
  5. Doing this sounds about as exciting as kissing my grandmother. Or re-arranging my sock drawer. There's no way I would even consider taking this on. Processing a collection that I bought with the intent to sell or took on consigment - no problemo. It would be work, but tolerable and worth it for the return. I'd go running and screaming in the opposite direction if I were tasked with processing a collection this size for the sole purpose of processing it.
  6. What are folks' thoughts on the Heritage PCH auction this week? The Atlas titles ended about where I expected these days (a little higher than I'd care for as a buyer), I didn't see any crazy jumps or drops. Am I off base?
  7. Isn't the 9.9 ginked though? Corner crunch that would keep it from ever getting 9.9 again?
  8. I think the majority of collectors across all the eras prefer their books to not have anything cut out from the pages.
  9. While I wouldn't consider it the sole factor, I imagine part of those results were due to blissard's rep and following. Judging from the bid history, those prices came down to just two guys with deep pockets duking it out. I'm not convinced that's a new pricing standard. Maybe somebody is working on a registry set.
  10. I don't swim in the 9.8 pool of fancy keys and don't follow them closely, but I would like to add in that from what I see, for about 5-6 years yellow label Hulk #181s were selling for about $25k. Those recent two sales at about $50k were double the previous average and the highest paid for a SS IH #181 to date unless I'm missing something. I'm in agreement with COI but also think those last two sales don't look like a precipitous drop to me.
  11. Okay, thanks for looking and thanks for the purchases! I'm hoping to get more together for a booth in the VCC this weekend!
