  1. Given all the other foul-ups we've seen in the past year or more, I'd lean towards the books getting switched due to negligence rather than an attempt to line somebody's pocket. “Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.”
  2. C'mon guys. Clink vs. GPA was played out right here on the Boards. In the following thread, Ghost Town supplies a link to the original, which is now gone. However, pertinent sections from it are quoted: In a nutshell, as was already mentioned, Clink only wanted to report certain sales as opposed to every sale, GPA did not want to only use only the big-ticket, high end sales. I am glad GPA took that position, but if Clink doesn't want to report to GPA that's fine and their prerogative, the same as any other dealer or website.
  3. Picked this up on the Boards years ago for less than what .5 incompletes are going for these days.
  4. Ain't been posting much or buying much but here's one I just picked up:
  5. Well, you probably wouldn't lose money in that case, but I still wouldn't start that low. $9.99 is the new .99¢. (Or an even $10.) I don't know the Turtles market well enough but would still likely say $5-$10 to start.
  6. I don't think it matters as much as it once did, but I still often use Sunday nights if I run auctions. (Most everything of mine is a BIN these days.) I haven't noticed much of a difference between Sunday, Saturday or Friday. The one time I still wouldn't end anything is during a weekday. Unless you're selling a hot book du jour, I would NOT recommend starting anything at .99 cents. Those days are long over.
  7. comicart1. Didst thou read the first post forum crier? Verily, we say nay to yon newly minted avatar.
  8. Has anybody seen Funny Pages? I haven't, but it looks interesting. I'm always up for a dark coming-of-age movie. https://a24films.com/films/funny-pages
  9. Years ago an established member ran a sales thread ostensibly to raise money to help cover some medical expenses. I bought a few books, nothing I really needed, merely to be supportive. Not long after, this fellow was dropping around and about. When questioned about the situation, the response was that the surgery was indeed needed but not urgent. I felt like a first class
  10. When I ordered direct two weeks ago, I was informed that FBs were white only on one side now because their supplier could not do both. It sounds odd, but given all the crazy supply chain disruptions that have taken place in the last few years anything seems possible. I saw some of the new boards a few months ago on a dealer's table and my first thought was "Are these legit?" Regarding my order, I was told it would take about 10 weeks, but it was processed 7 days later and bags and boards were in hand a few days after that.

  12. Dice, Watson, Watcher leap to mind. There were some others, too, but I gave up on their boards years ago. The actual structure/layout of theirs just stinks, and and the majority of posters and topics just mind-numbingly annoying. It was a big disappointment for me. A year or so ago there was some anniversary-type thread here in CG and some of those guys popped over. It was nice.
