  1. Ebay closed his account. Appears he purchased and paid for many items after our transaction. Both of these deadbeats are no longer registered users
  2. Thanks for the safely shipped Hulk 184 slab Bob.
  3. jsquaredco - still no payment. How long before e-Bay closes out the case and I can make a second chance offer?
  4. Please keep us informed..so I can go after the bastid next. I woke up to an email stating he has paid in full.
  5. I emailed him again this afternoon. So far no reply.
  6. So is mine. Is it the adsahakian1 account? I just sent him a nice, firm email through facebook. No, this one armenookie
  7. The account he used while bidding on my books is still open.
  8. WOW! Well maybe we should all send something to Ebay about this. Does your Armen list his location in PA or NY? I would open a case. It is the same guy.

  10. Just great Joey...here is an email I received from armenookie also...as he won 2 of my books for over $600.... hi Steve. hey ebay "just realized" that i had a couple of unpaid strikes for a year ago and decided to freeze my account "lagiant888" until i get them cleared up. i bought 2 books from you in that account and would appreciate it if you would't open up any cases as they automatically turn into strikes and compound my problem. i'll keep you updated on the progress. i'm hoping to have things up and running in a few days. thanks. --Armen Too bad for him, I opened a case since he did not have the courtesy to even let me know what was going on. The other guy said that his fiances father died and would pay two Mondays ago. How soon before you can offer the book to the underbidder?
  11. I am owed over $1,000 on the NPB's. Here they are in case someone may know them armenookie jsquaredco
  12. I have 3 cases open right now with people who bid, won the book at what I consider a fair price (under GPA) and it is going on week 3 with no communication.
  13. The 4.0 assigned appears to be an accumulation of defects rather than any one specific problem. I see a large color breaking crease, which alone keeps it 5.5 or less. There's a BC corner chip, some browning along the edges. Maybe some rust on the top staple ? A few tears, lots of color breaking spine creases. It probably gets to be a numbers game where the defects are added up and it's a 4.0 . I could see a 4.5 but no better. It's still a cool book with decent eye appeal. Is the bottom staple popped?
  14. Holy Bat-Boner Chris....that's an amazing book!!! One for the ages.
  15. Hey, enough with the insults - not everyone can artificially create HG books in their basement like you. Wrong I live in Florida...no basements. I am setup in the loft.
  16. Still comes back to the low hanging fruit. Pick up what no one else is looking at. When you have to climb higher or spend more you simply move on to the next tree and pick what hanging low. I just don't see it that way. To me, it's about enjoying the hobby, and spending more on a book than I feel it's worth takes the joy out of it. If I feel a book is worth the $, I'll pay it. But, if I feel what the market currently dictates is too high, I'm more than happy with another era or genre. I collect high grade Looney Tunes 1-100, and will shell out a couple hundred bucks for super nice books. I feel they're undervalued. I will probably never own a Hulk 181, because I feel they're incredibly common and overpriced. Like JC, I'm glad that I'm just as psyched to find a NM BA copy of Betty and Veronica as I am to find a JLA or Avengers or Weird Wonder Tales. It gives me options, but doesn't make it any easier. And it's not about laziness, low-hanging fruit, or easy-pickings. I think I dig through boxes as much as you do. I just pull out different stuff. Ask Greggy how hard it is to find HG BA romance books. Then add my criteria. It becomes even tougher (not the best example, since I will pay for HG BA romance). That doesn't mean I stop looking for the superhero stuff, either. I just wait for the right price and pass on lots of super-nice copies that are too expensive. Finding the right HG copy at the right price is certainly not "low-hanging fruit". And some of the stuff I look for is probably the hardest BA material in grade. Now, Joey, let me tell you about the braciole I made last weekend. How's the food in FL treating you? braciole

  18. Because almost all my collecting life, I've gone by one motto (while sticking to BA books, obviously): Buy where they ain't I've done very well by that, and since it's *also* turned out to be a lot of fun, I will continue to follow it. I think it also comes down to me hating to be a "Johnny-Come-Lately" follower-type, and I'd rather blaze my own trails and find my own niche. Currently I am looking for XXX, YYY and , but don't tell anyone. But if you were one of the orginal Pictureframe collectors, how are you a Johnny-Come-Lately? Unless you bristle at the thought of bring Grandpa Pictureframe, I don't see the connection. Neither do I. Sounds like a complaint about all the "low hanging fruit" being gone and the digging getting harder.
  19. Would love to grab that 7.0 copy. Just cannot see justifying the additional cost to upgrade from 6.5 to 7.0.
  20. Got home earlier than planned. Here it is. Second highest and second known copy to be graded.
  21. I'll be posting a scan of a book you don't see everyday. Check back around 10 PM.
  22. Will there be scans? No, but there will be digital pictures for everyone to mock. (thumbs u I would like to get an early start on my mocking of you.
  23. I'm starting to get the urge to put together a run for myself
