  1. Picked these two up last night. Expected the Hulk 151 to go much higher.
  2. Star Wars 68 CGC 9.2 I have 3 copies. $325.00 each
  3. Star Wars 68 CGC 9.0 I have 3 copies $300.00
  4. Title says it all. Listing a bunch of Star Wars 68's. Grades range from 8.5 to 9.6. I have multiples of most grades. First gets it. Shipping is additional and will combine shipping if multiple copies are purchased. Consider all books pressed but not wiped down with peroxide, alcohol or any other cleaning agent. No one on any lists or if I have you on ignore. No returns on slabbed books.
  5. The truth is that it is most likely a combination of all these things. But I have seen shearing, tearing and ink loss due to the inner well fitting poorly.
  6. That and the book may have contained too much moisture when initially encased.
  7. If I damaged 5% of the books I work on that would be roughly 80 books a month.
  8. In case anyone is wondering, I am also unwilling to share my sauce recipe as well.
  9. Greatly reduce. There is damage to the cover gloss, so there will always be remnants of the damage that no amount of pressing will eliminate. Look better? Yes. Eliminate 100%? No.
  10. I would like to know how telling someone to put in the time and figure things out for themselves is bullying? I gave the same advice to a few board members here and they are now very adept at pressing books. If you knew me, you would know I rarely feel threatened.
  11. Pizza consists of the following: dough, sauce, cheese, individual toppings, oil, garlic and other spices and seasonings. Everyone knows pretty much how to assemble a pizza. Dough gets stretched out, then the sauce, then the cheese and topping, etc. Yet, there is a world of difference between a good pie and a great pie. What is that difference between a little Ceasars vs. a NY or Chicago pizza? Experience and ingredients. At a certain point those final tweaks can only be gained by putting in the time and experimenting. And you would be hard pressed to find someone willing to just give away their secrets that make them stand out. IMO it is bad form. One bit of advice I will give to any new DIY pressers is this; if you smell smoke, you have the heat set too high.
  12. You hang out with me. No need for protection money.
  13. I have seen small 1/4 years drop a nm+ book into the 8.0 range.
  14. What makes someone an expert? 10,000 hours? I know people in their 60’s who aren’t experts at life yet. It’s a combination of factors, and taking shortcuts is not one of them.
