Hello,

I have a two books for sale simply because I need to purchase a new camera lens.  I've sold a few books here on the boards and can provide references.  These books have been stored in a smoke-free, dehumidified, air-conditioned environment and not subject to light.

Here are the rules:

• First     (or something similar) in the thread takes it.  This supersedes any PM negotiations, regardless if an agreement is reached in those PM negotiations.
• NO Hall of Shamers or Probies, please!
• No returns, but happy to provide addition information/pictures if needed.
• Shipping only to continental USA:  $25/book.
• I will ship by either USPS or FEDEX and will ship from Virginia.
• All shipped orders will have tracking and signature confirmation and insurance.
• Payment by money order, Pay Pal, or Credit Card.  Payment must be made within three days of sale, or sale is canceled.
• Local pick up is fine, but payment has to be via cash.
• This thread will close on Friday.

Hi,

I'm curious why the variant cover goes for less than the regular cover?  Granted, the regular cover looks cooler, but aren't variant covers typically more limited in production and thereby more valuable?

So are we in a hot or cold market at this moment in time?  Or is this a Goldilocks market?

I highly doubt this considering that Steve Ditko had way more plot/story input in this three issue run than any previous collaboration with Stan.  I've always believed this arc is what triggered Steve's decision to leave 5 issues later.  Nevertheless, ASM 33 is definitely one of the top 5 Spidey issues (and covers) of all time.

Why Romita ASM covers?  Other than them being awesome art.  Lol.

I made myself a ‘want’ list based on strict criteria and refuse to add or take away from it.   This way, my collecting goals aren’t influenced by trends or opinions, only my own personal choices and emotions.

Yep!  I grabbed my last ‘must have’ at the start of 2021 and haven’t looked at anything comic related since.  I don’t have a GPA subscription or otherwise follow the market outside of this space and the occasional YouTube prognosticator, which seem to all blow smoke anyway.

That’s hilarious!  Do you have any other good Romita stories?  He’s my favorite comic artist of a time.  But now I also will never look at this cover the same way.  In fact, I should sell if.  $1400, anyone?  Lol!

Thanks, I thought that was nuts.  I paid $177 for my copy in Oct of 2019 just because I love the cover.  I only one a dozen comics, so I don’t have the desire to pay for GPA even though I know they are the most accurate   I have the ‘CLZ Comics’ app on my phone that syncs with Go Collect as well. 

I happen to own a 9.0 White pages copy that has recently jumped up nearly 90% in value according to GoCollect and is now worth over $1,000?

Nearly all grades have moved up in volumes and I don't see why...this isn't really a key issue.  Any idea what is going on?
