Unfortunately, those are 2 key visual but apparently non-technical indicators which CGC does not take too much into account when it comes to determining the final grade. O.o

I guess this is supposedly where the CVA Exceptional sticker from CL and the QES sticker from CC comes into play.  hm

I always buy the book and not only the grade. Makes it more fun finding the premium for a specific grade.

  2. I don't sell on eBay but I was wondering what's there to prevent sellers from manipulating sold prices? Wouldn't a seller be able to post a book at a ridiculous price, then use another account to make the purchase then cancel the transaction, therefore logging in the sold price? eBay doesn't remove sold prices even if the transaction didn't finalize, right?

The uptick continues to uptick in November, with public sales of $1906, and $1950.

i sold a cgc 9.8 White Pages, direct a few days ago for $2,000 locally (Toronto).  It’s a fun book to own.

There are barely any 9.8s for sale on eBay. It's like everything is sold out compared to beginning of 2020. Prices will most likely continue to trend up until there's a new batch of 9.8s for sale.

Those are great, if they were newstand versions, they would go for a premium, with 80s common keys, collectors are looking to differentiate with more rare versions.

I prefer finding a 9.8 ASM 300 that's perfectly centered, no production defect (jagged edges), and with a deep red color (instead of the orange). Personally, I stay away from copies with jagged edges.
