  2. A bit off topic, but does anyone remember the huge find of “remainder”copies (logo cut off send back to the distributor) from Pittsburgh area? Happened when I just got out of high school in 1975. They were gorgeous!
  3. I have not a recent DC comic book in 20 some years, but I watched some of the Suicide Squad cartoon where some guy got Nabu’s helmet and Nabu kicked the stuff out of him.
  4. Friday mantinee in Lost Wages. Great seats, great screen, 8 people to watch it. My grade“B”. Wanted it to be darker like the last few X-Men movies but it’s always about getting the kids in. Wanted them to expand on this version of Hawkman. Nth metal? Hmm. Dr. Fate always lives, by the by…
  5. Man, those are great Matt Baker covers. Kinda wish my early buying focus would have been on these rather than Silver and Golden Age DC’s! Thanks for posting.
  6. Red dress. Check. Headlights. Check. Skeleton cover. Check. Nice!
  7. Anyone excited to see it besides me?!
  8. The #9 cover even looks like an early More Fun! Way to go dude!
  9. Me, too. Had to sell off a bunch but kept my More Fun #55!
  10. Wow, way to go dude! I have about 8000 to go to catch you!
  11. I agree. Another “no thumbs girl”! 😵‍💫
  12. It’s called marketing. His comic books started a conversation (just like on here) and maybe brought a few more customers into the restaurant.
  13. Great book! I remember back in 1973 finding a copy of this pulp and selling it on Stan’s Weekly Express to Robert Sampson out of Hunstville, GA.
  14. I don’t know about Cinderella, but a lot of these Fellas wouldn’t mind taking her home!
  15. I always thought the Atlas horror covers scared the mess out of me more any any other publisher. They were not up to EC artistic standards, but they made me not want to buy them! 😵
  16. Just for fanboy interest, my mom needed milk at Isaly’s (pre 7-11) and I bought X-men 1 and 2 off the spinner rack even though I loved dc books!
  17. Great point. A lot of long time collector’s have no interest in slabbing unless they are ready to sell. That would be me. I will put the raw copies here or on eBay, and sell the rest through and auction site.
  18. Wow! If I was teenager in 1934, I would have had a copy under my bed! 🥵
  19. I think Janet is not looking forward to the outcome. Thanks Mac!
