    I always thought the Atlas horror covers scared the mess out of me more any any other publisher. They were not up to EC artistic standards, but they made me not want to buy them! 😵

    Just for fanboy interest, my mom needed milk at Isaly’s (pre 7-11) and I bought X-men 1 and 2 off the spinner rack even though I loved dc books!

    Great point. A lot of long time collector’s have no interest in slabbing unless they are ready to sell. That would be me. I will put the raw copies here or on eBay, and sell the rest through and auction site.

    Any more good stories? I got in late in the game but I’m sure there were some GREAT finds! My dad and I used to work every avenue from coin laundry’s to local newspapers before EBay. Wish I knew about when I got my first computer!
