  1. Lando got one. I'm thinking they were sticking with original trilogy characters. Maybe one of these? Emperor Yoda Jabba The Hutt Jawa Ewok Sand People Admiral Ackbar Greedo Jerome Not sure who this one is...
  2. I'm more than happy to go find this link if you could provide a little more information about it. Sounds like a great read.
  3. When I was going after these books, I had my checklist of all the books and just went after anything that I didn't have. I only avoided books with detached covers, all else was fair game. If I were to do it again, I'd probably go after books that were 4.0 and above. But, don't limit yourself by buying one title at a time, because as you suspected, some decent books (or decent deals) will slip right by you. Good luck! Thanks for the advice! I'm trying to get at least 4.0 (for the SA stuff), but if it has an intact cover and the price is good, I've been buying those too. I can always sell off the under copies down the road. I once had the notion to go for this as well but the fact that I would have to buy portions of runs that I didn't care about killed it for me. I love Big 5 war books, but there are parts of runs on OFF, AAMOW, and SSWS that I have zero interest in buying. I didn't think I would like the Dinos in SSWS, but I found them a fun read. Guns and Dinos, what is not to like. I've got to say +1 here. I originally avoided the dinosaur books because they were always pricey in the guide and I felt so much more was a better value. When I ended up getting the Showcase compilation "War That Time Forgot" I ended reading the whole book and enjoying the heck out of it!! Who would have thunk it??
  4. I would sell them on eBay. 2 a week via no-reserve auction, plus have one or two always set as a buy-it-now asking fair market value for them. You could consider sending a couple to each auction house: Comic Link, Comic Connect, Heritage, Quality Comics. Good luck! Andy
  5. I think you're misinterpreting his "done". You were looking ifor a 9.8 copy and when he initially contacted you the book was still at CGC and hadn't yet had the grade finalized. His "done" meant the grading was complete, it is in fact a 9.8, and is now on it's way to MCS. "done" meant that he was covered. I hold the books outside of the MCS system until the buyer is able to purchase. Then I list and they buy. It is highly unlikely that someone else would be watching for that book at that time at that price.

  7. Can you post a couple of pictures for me please?
  8. Got a resolution! Received a Western Union Money Order in today's mail. No other forms of communication. lot of family emergencies in that transaction. glad you got your full refund I've been having an issue with the same seller. In my case he never mailed what was purchased. I'm sad about this because he seemed like a really nice guy. No communication since 6/14 when he said he was back and would be mailing the comics that week. Since John got his refund, I'm going to wait another week and see if he steps up, before naming him. At this point, I'd prefer a refund since I only bought the comics to help him, but I'd take either. Since my PMs remain unread and I got no response from the emails I sent either, I'm posting here in hopes that he at least reads this thread. I'm fairly easy going, but if there is a problem then you really need to communicate. I'm not Saturn Girl. What?! Since when?
  9. It's beyond me that after all the talk on here that people still pack their stuff sheitty. It takes no effort to be lazy. Isn't that the truth. (thumbs u
  10. okay, I'll prove it tomorrow. (thumbs u
  11. 1950's war comics, sorry for the delay. I was going to PM you, but there may be some others that don't know how to post pictures as well. Here's what you do: Go to a photo hosting site. For this example, we're going to use www.photobucket.com You will want to register and create an account. Once that's done, you are ready to go. Near the top, there's a blue button that says "UPLOAD". Click it. Another page opens up and there's a blue button that says "CHOOSE PHOTOS & VIDEOS". Click it. That will open up a new window where you're supposed to choose which pictures that are on your computer you want to upload. If you want to choose more than one picture, hold down the "Ctrl" key, and keep choosing your photos. Click upload. Photobucket will take the pictures you've selected and make a copy of each one on their site. After it's uploaded successfully, click "VIEW UPLOADS". This brings up a page with your most recent uploads, with all of their pictures showing. Each picture should have 5 different codes under it. Left click on the IMG code (4th one down) and it will highlight in blue. Then right click it and "copy". Now, you want to come to the CGC boards and "paste" it into your post inside the thread that you want to show off your picture. (like this War Comics thread) Send me a PM if you need any more help. 12. Very cool! (thumbs u Thank you for enabling me. I now know which books are undervalued and I'm going to remortgage my house to get a whole whack of these! Thanks!!
  13. If I want to be in this club, do I have to prove it or will you take my word for it? Cause my word is my bond, yo.
  14. I'll teach you on Monday. It's easy. (thumbs u ...and I think that's a diver and not a frogman.
