  1. Yeah, the waves will be something that the graders will be taking into account for sure.
  2. Ordered 30. 16 badly damaged with corner dings, 7 not great with small corner dings, 7 that are just passable. They took better care this time in shipping them, 10 bagged and boarded then sandwiched between 2 pieces of cardboard, then bubble wrapped. The main problem was they didn't tape the 10 books to the cardboard and so they shifted in transit. A drop of the box and all comics would slide in that direction from the impact. I notified him, sent pics and was told he would look after me. Let's hope so. I was one of the eBay pre-sellers, and because I was cautious only put up 10 copies. Now I wish I pre-sold 5.
  3. So...how the hell was it? Fun? Great seeing the guys? Score anything at the show? Details, please....
  4. Please don't post a link to the sales thread this time.
  5. He is selling multiple copies. He can easily say he is selling 20 copies here and 20 copies there. The link to his website looks like it's for pics. He can alter the wording slightly and still comply. The book is to be exclusive to the boards, not the title. I never thought of it like that. Then I guess just tell us that there's only "x" available for the boards exclusively. Add image tags to the picture and we don't see a link to his website.
  6. If it's listed here, it's supposed to be a board exclusive sale. He can A) remove this sale from his website and provide pictures of the book without linking back to his website Or he can B) delete his current thread's content (title and body) and start a new one in the proper section of the boards, the Comic Market-Sales Advertising, eBay, Dealers, etc section.
  7. Jurassic world was not special at all. Spy was so-so for the first third of the movie. That's when I stopped watching. I did enjoy the new Mad Max, though.
  8. It's almost comical how militant they are about some things but other things slide on by like an 800lb gorilla on a skate board. It was probably a button humper. I have my own trolls who really get a kick out of trying to make my life difficult in order to give themselves some excitement. The jokes on them though. The book sold before the thread was locked. It was poofed. No points.
  9. Someone just asked him why he's not just charging the right amount extra for paypal and he responded with "Those are the terms of sale"...but it's since been deleted. I was thinking it's his fee to cover paypal's fees, but he worded it poorly. Could be English is not his first language. It could end up being an interesting marketing approach. Knocking a book down to 10% below FMV (on purpose) and adding in a 5% you-may-now-do-business-with-me-if-you-use-PayPal transaction fee. 5% fee is waived if paid by check or money order. I have no problem with this unless he is really trying to say that PayPal charges a 5% fee.
  10. I've just finished speaking with Arch and he's agreed to have all Mystery Box chit chat restricted to the Comics Related- Movies, TV, and Video Games sub-forum. Please respect his wishes.
  11. This fresh, onion and garlic-free salsa is fantastic! It comes highly recommended. (thumbs u 1 pound tomatillos, husked or canned 1 serrano chile peppers, minced 1-2 handfuls chopped cilantro 1/3 of a cup chopped fresh oregano 1 teaspoon ground cumin 1 teaspoon coriander seed ground 1 1/2 teaspoons salt, or to taste 2 cups water or less depending on how thick you want it 1/4 cup olive oil 1/3 cup vinegar
  12. It gets really expensive to collect that way, and the last few can get VERY expensive. That's why it's better to try to swap for the ones you need once you have a goodly number of them and the inevitable dupes. On average, assuming they're evenly packed, you'd need to buy 55 of those Lego packs to get all 16. See here. I don't believe it was meant this way but the conclusion I draw from these analogies is that mystery/blind sales are good for the seller but not economically wise for the buyer. Absolutely correct. (thumbs u Unless you really want someone else to choose the books you are going to collect, this is a stoopid idea for a buyer. Imagine being a seller and can choose what carp you want to get rid of. seller's choice? For a buyer, he'd better be getting everything at half guide or less.
  13. I love the action in this War Comics thread again!
  14. This was addressed in private with the buyer. I told him flat out I screwed up on contents. Should have told him that drunk chick packed his box.
  15. They contain nudity and sex inside. Do you think they are okay to sell? They are very graphic. Better show us some examples so we ca make a decision.
  16. Sold some books to Eric and all went well. Easy peasy! Thanks buddy!!
  17. I just wanted to say that I will no longer accept PayPal personal payments for goods or services. If I want the fee-free way, I will request money orders. If I want the recipient to have no fees, I will also send a money order. Going forward, the only PayPal personal payments that I send will be money truly sent to friends or family as a gift, or in charity events that have been given the OK by PayPal. (I've been behind the scenes in about 6 charity events, and I know that PayPal has been asked for permission beforehand every time-I've called and asked before, myself) In most cases, we know what is "the right thing to do" but sometimes we have difficulty doing it. I, for one, am appreciative of RMA reminding me of this. (thumbs u
