It's not a deal until you both "shake on it" as it were. Whenever I make an offer, I don't consider it a done deal until we've both said okay. So no, I wouldn't say you're on the hook with the fellow. I usually try to phase my offers as a question, just to make it a bit more clear that it's not final yet: "Hey man, would you accept $120 for your Captain Carrot #16 4.5 GLOD?" The bolded part really bothers me. When you make an offer, you are extending yourself and basically saying you will do it if the other party accepts. That is not hard to understand. What really bugs me is when someone says "Would you take $65 for that?", and the seller accepts, then the guy says "well let me think about it". Or similarly after the seller accepts, the guy says "would you take $50 for it?" If you make it clear that it's not final yet, then good for you, but if you don't make it clear, then dooshy for you.

all DC 52 #1's are HTF. Detective Comics #1 was one of them. Really? All DC 52 #1s are hard to find?

Regardless you wouldn't be wise to wait until a few episodes in as you suggested. the hype around Michonne will NEVER be higher than it was after her quick 1st appearance. Is Michonne gonna be the next Harada?

okay so I was wrong about the price by $300. But the book is RAW and that is still way too much to be pricing that book. Not to mention a $65 ToT is retarded. Maybe not the best choice of words.

No, I would attribute the high end price to the salesmanship of the seller. He basically did an excellent job at "selling" it. Andy

There's a new re-launch of the Valiant universe and it's created some buzz. X-0 Manowar is the first title of the new line to be brought out. Ultimately, this should help the sales of the first volume, but I wouldn't get too crazy. Interestingly, it's making me think about buying these old books again.....

No ... trying to teach snarky comic book people to be kind is as difficult as trying to get those same comic book guy types laid or even just shielding them from laughter by attractive women in public places ... somethings require professional help that I don't have the time to teach. Just a friendly reminder that we don't need to pick at each other all the time. Hell I go out of my way to try and be nice to people on the Boards, compliment others (when I don't need to), etc. My You shouldn't have to go out of your way to try to be nice to people, or compliment others, for that matter. And no, you will never "need to" do this. Most nice people don't have to go out of their way, nor would they consider whether being nice is something that they need to or don't need to do. The greatest weakness of the PL...the ability for there to be a "Am not! Are too!" back and forth...is also its greatest strength...it's a completely democratic process. There is no way that a small group of people....even if it's only procedural power at this point...should have that kind of power. It doesn't matter who the people are. It wouldn't matter if it was ME, and you gave ME the sole power...I would reject it. It's a dangerous path to go down. Nice to see you're getting your tongue back. ....that didn't sound quite right....
