  1. ...my thumbs up wasn't to agree with "wrong forum x-boy", it was in agreement with Jeffro going after G.I. Combat #87 next. Touchy!
  2. I wish he offered them to me directly, but he was pretty quiet when talking about books that he hadn't had up on eBay....to me, at least. I knew my comment would pull you out of lurking, Fay. Andy
  3. So, those Heritage comics are from the "Keith Marlow collection"....I bought a bunch of this guy's "sloppy seconds" before, which were quite nice. There's at least one other boardie here who was picking away at his collection before as well. Nice books to say the least! Andy
  4. Those are fantastic copies, Hedge! Congratulations!! Andy
  5. I agree with Shep, but that Andy guy? He just buys low grade books in quantity....
  6. I enjoy the OFF's up until the early 1960's issues. After that, until The Losers start, I couldn't care less. Same way with SSWS dino issues. For some reason I have developed a real fondness for All American Men of War. Maybe because it's a relatively cheaper run to collect than say OAAW or GIC. Out of all the big five books, early OAAW issues seem the toughest to find. For every OAAW I see I seem to see five OFF's. OFF # 1 shows up on ebay all the time. Yup, OFF #1 isn't that tough to find. Nor is OAAW #1 actually. The toughies for OAAW seem to be from #2 to #20. Early AAMOW's are great, and as you said, they can be relatively inexpensive. Dino's don't really do it for me either, but if you want the complete series, you've gotta buy those ones as well. I recently bought a semi-run of them in VG to Fine at a reasonable price in comparison to guide. That's the thing with those books, IMHO they are overpriced right now, so I will only pick them up for half guide or less (unless it's the first dinosaur, then you've gotta pay for it). Andy
  7. That was great, Bangzoom, thank you! Andy
  8. Gorgeous books, Bangzoom! Thank you! Andy
  9. Well, I just made it through all 93 pages...thank you so much for posting such gorgeous books! You have such a fine collection, I was blown away page after page. So many books that I could only dream of seeing, thank you...thank you...thank you!!! I haven't got my Photo Journal Guides here to ask for specific issues, but could I ask to see some horror books with electric chair covers, or grotesque covers of any kind? Cheers! Andy
  10. EXCELLENT book! Thank you for posting!! Andy
  11. Okay, I just found this thread (I know, extremely late to the party) and I've been astounded! I wanted to post and comment countless times already, and then decided to read the whole thing before saying anything. But....I can't. This picture has just made me shiver! Seriously shiver. As Janice from Friends would say "Oh....My.....God!". Okay, I said it...now to keep reading.... Thank you. Andy
  12. Another boardie is getting back to me on a list of GI Combats I am getting ready to sell. It's a 9.0...I'd have to check but if he passes, I'll give send you some info. Oh, yeah, forgot to mention that all war must go. Look in the marketplace early Wednesday morning for some Silver, bronze and modern HG War books. What are you doing, John? Any deals? Andy
  13. Does anyone know what story was to have been reprinted in Battle Classics #2? The first issue was from B&B 52. This one looks like a Rock/Mlle. Marie xover? Actually, at first I called it Battle Classics #2, but actually, it's the cover to #3. As far as what was in it, not sure. But seeing Rock, Bulldozer, and Mlle. Marie there, I'm sure it'd be a fun read! Andy
  14. They are xeroxed copies, Jeff.... Ooooh, boy do I wish they were originals! I love that cover to the Army At War #2!!! So much going on in there. Andy
  15. Here's something to look at... From Cancelled Comic Cavalcade #2, Fall 1978 Explanation: In June 1978, DC cancelled several of their titles. For copywrite purposes, the unpublished original art for these titles was xeroxed, bound in these books, published and distributed. Only 35 copies were made. Army At War #2 Un-inked Army At War #2 Inked by my friend Battle Classics #3 Un-inked Battle Classics #3 Inked by my friend (my friend who inked these didn't know the title of the book at the time he inked, so he just put WWII in for the title) Thoughts and comments? Andy
  16. Indeed, great books! I got the sloppy seconds from that collection, by the way. Mind you, they weren't that sloppy. They are happily sitting in my cool long boxes of DC war. Andy
  17. London, Ontario, eh? Damn! Coulda been my next door neighbour. Andy
  18. A stack that tall is just asking to fall down.... hope not, though Andy
