  1. PBA Galleries Auctioneers in the San Francisco Bay Area is having our 3rd Pre-Code Horror auction on August 12th. This sale will be huge, and will change the game for already red-hot Pre-Code Horror category. The sale will be both live and online, and will be simulcast on PBA's website, LiveAuctioneers.com and Invaluable.com. There will be a softcover catalogue and a limited edition hardcover catalogue. This will be the horror comics event of the decade! To consign or to request a catalogue link, email ivan@pbagalleries.com. You'll be glad you did!
  2. I had the best Mail Call ever at work yesterday! Horror mags up the wazoo!
  3. I just bought a fistful of 1970s pix of a guy's Mego and Captain Action collection! Here's one of my faves...
  4. Hi gang, I collect comic-related photos, and I'd love it if someone who has Captain America Comics #46 (Holocaust cover by Schomburg) could message me a photo of themselves holding the comic book. I'd like to print it out and add it to my photo collection! I have thousands of comic-related photos, and a pic featuring Cap 46 is at the top of my want list! Thanks... Here are a few examples from my collection.
  5. My latest score. Still waiting for it to arrive in the mail! Cost me a pretty penny, but well worth it! Wally Wood in his dingy studio, circa 1978. Woody's infamous "mess List" is on the wall. The list is said to have named Stan Lee, Harlan Ellison and Al Feldstein, among others.
  6. Polaroid of my daughter reading one of the auction catalogues I produce for a living. Some of my comic-related books are in the background... along with Billy Idol! What can I say... I miss the '80s!
  7. Drugstore guy with comics rack... including two ECs! I have the original negative in my photo collection.
  8. Those Archie comic pix are stellar! I dig Archie and the gang myself.
  9. I'll say! I'm still waiting for a bunch of 35mm comic book slides I ordered on eBay 2 months ago!! Shipping is nuts these days. Thanks a million for the Cap shirt pic... it's awesome!
  10. Yeah, I should start watermarking too... As a snapshot collector, I hate it when folks sell copies without designating them as such! I've gotten burned that way once or twice.
  11. Curious!! I own the original vintage print of this same photo... identical down to the faint scratch marks above the comic and to the left!
  12. Just did my first transaction with The Dude.... big THUMBS UP!!!
