  1. Looks like that corner crease on the back has a bend through the whole book. I think you can press some of the appearance of the bend out. I would guess you'd be looking at 7.5/8.0 after.
  2. I will be surprised if the g-mart books aren't quite nice. I'm not much of a celebrity signature collector myself, but I did serendipitously buy this book during a g-mart clearance sale for 99¢ so I took a flyer on a signing event.
  3. It looks like that back spine is quite rough particularly. You *might* get a 7.0 b/c the back is the worse part, but I'd wage something closer to 6.0 on a modern book. Since this is not a particulary rare or expensive book, and the celebrity signings are, I would look for something a lot better. After a very quick search, I found that g-mart has several copies available for $6.00. They don't advertise grades on their website, but they're almost exclusively stocked with unsold books from their subscription inventory. Every back issue I've purchased there is higher grade than your book, and almost all of them were at least NM. That's easier than scrolling endlessly through ebay to find a high grade copy.
  4. 8.0, maybe 8.5 from a gracious grader
  5. CGC's standard is a 1.8 for a full split, you're not there yet but I suspect the additional creasing is going to have an impact. 2.0/2.5 since it looks 3ish without splits.
  6. 3.5/4.0. Probably the lower, but the higher would not be shocking.
  7. I would not be surprised with a 6.0 even though the reader crease is pretty strong
  8. For a early 50s book, I can see this getting a 5.0 or a suprise 5.5. Strictly speaking, I'd say the pieces out cap this at 4.0, but these standards don't seem to be applied the same way with GA books.
  9. Read the forum guidelines & adjust your post accordingly
  10. I'd call this a 6.0, but given it's era, I'd expect at least a grade higher. Perhaps as high as 7.0
  11. couple of dark dots around the perimerter of the back cover. Depends on what that is. Unlikely to get much more than 9.0 unless that's some kind of misapplied printing ink
  12. Stain below the price box, perhaps some foxing there too. Yellowing in the UPC area, also possible staining. Around 6 b/c the area effected is larger & on the front cover.
  13. I just scored a La Prensa edition of this cover. Hoping it ends up being signature-worthy. Arguably this is better than some of his more famous cover & I think it on of his favorites.
  14. I am going. I work with a local shop who's an authorized CGC dealer. PM me if you want me to give you contact info or assist otherwise. Orway is on my list of people to visit.
