For the price tag, I'm they look great. Can't be any worse than the outdated garbage we all use now. maybe so, but I would still like to a scan of both raw and graded books. Looks like this will be next generation of scanners though.

But how nice are the scans with this new type of scanner?

Did you call them? I've called twice and my 4/22 MST books "still" have not shipped out.. I'll call tomorrow afternoon for the third time if they don't ship out today. Shipped/Safe today! YEA! Took 79 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) ..That's a far cry from the ETA of 55 days they state. I think it needs to be updated.

Damn. It's really no different than a brick-and-mortar having to deal with shoplifters. Just gotta try to absorb the cost and pass it on to the rest of the customers without driving them away. Fracking thieves! Wait I just had a look at both books and its not even close to being the same! Can you not show this to eBay and have them help you out? So I refunded the buyer I had no choice in the matter. I either accept returns or I don't its the cost of doing business. In all fairness had this guy just come out at the beginning and told me the book was damaged I might have believed this even though the way I pack it seems really hard to imagine this damage. It should have been more in the corners from drops and such. I cant stress enough for you to ban this buyer. The messages I have been getting from him are long drawn out paragraphs that just ramble on about how its all my fault. He told me first his thought he was buying a 1st print from 1999 even though my listing clearly says its not. Then after I refused to let him reship it to me at my cost I told him to file with ebay. Why? so I could have a record of all this. About the 3rd email is when the book now has terrible damage and wasn't graded correctly. I just kept telling this guy it wasn't my fault and he needs to file with ebay which he finally did. I refunded him and I am still getting emails from him. This guy has a lot of problems I am gathering or different personalities I am unsure which. Save yourself the headache. I don't think in 15 years of selling/buying I have seen such a problem. What is the ebay handle again to block? cda-shop?

Give them a call and find out what's going on. My MST is going on 60 weekdays right now. mines been longer. I've emailed them a few times for updates. THere's nothing wrong with my order, stuff is just slooooowwww. My MST invoice date is 4/22 and still not shipped out. I've called them a couple of times and they say "Any day now". I'll probably give them a call again next week.

I tried using Vuescan but my scanner locked up and made some horrible sounds so, I quit using Vuescan. Can't remember if I tried un-installing the HP software before installing Vuescan. But I certainly did later on and Vuescan does not work all that great with my HP8250. I must be doing something wrong but what it is, I don't know.

Yes, you have to make sure the software will work. I have an iMac and after upgrading to Mavericks, my HP8250 scanner no longer works. The HP software will not work at all and there is no download for Mavericks. I now have to use my Windows 7 laptop and MS Paint for scanning slabs. Looks like I'll have to buy another more modern legal size scanner that will work on my iMac.

I did the Modern slow boat.. Invoice date 4/22 and they have been in the Grading/Quality control step for 2-weeks now. Hopefully they ship out soon.

I'll take that bet. I should have made the bet. The set is now listed as shipped/safe but none of the data has been filled in yet. I assume they are filling it in right now. I have the Grading/Quality as of 7/20 also..Maybe I'll get to see my grades today!!!

My books have been in the "Graded" status for about two weeks now. submitted 4/22. Regular modern. Hopefully they will be marked shipped so I can look at my grades.

I did get Stan the Man to sign my ASM121 which came back graded 5.0 SS series.

All this analysis is very very interesting.

I have a 9.6 white but it needs to be re-holdered. Glad I didn't sell it. I had no idea it would take off like this. Surely it will fall back just about as hard.
