  1. Keep listing those Logan's Run issues!…and anything else..keep on listing!!1
  2. To each their own but I thought the Dr. Strange issues with Frank Brunner were some of the best comics I've ever read! Dr. Strange is one my favorite comic books to read. Bring on the movie! I can't wait.
  3. I was going to say this also. If you're really against the price, just get a 9.6.... 1 extra NCB spine tick for half the cost. Worth it to me (thumbs u I have a 9.6 but I want a 9.8 too.
  4. Just another FANTASTIC transaction with Ghost Town (Barton)! GREAT PACKAGING, FAST SHIPPING and a VERY NICE Doc Savage #5 book! I'm SUPER HAPPY! SUPER DUPER KUDOS to Ghost Town! I sure hope we can do another deal SOON!! Michael
  5. SUPER KUDOS to Mr Sneeze on a very smooth transaction. He bought some Captain America books and he paid for them lighting fast. Just a PHENOMENAL transaction all the way around! Here's hoping we can do another transaction soon!
  6. ALWAYS a pleasure dealing he BronzeBruce13(Bruce). Just did another transaction and it went FANTASTIC! I got my book in record time and it looked GREAT! The Rai #4 slabbed book is now resting in one of my comic boxes!! SUPER DUPER KUDOS to Bruce!
  7. Yeah, the show is a little better now. I about gave up watching but now I'll watch some more. I agree about the twins. Nowhere near as annoying as they have been.
  8. I love mine! Scans great! I hope yours does the same for you!
  9. We'll ok, I'll check them out then. Maybe "Finally" the show is improving.
  10. I intend to do just that. I'm tired of this group never making what I'll call any "forward progress". It's the same plots endlessly recycled. Add a bunch of members so you can have a blood bath killing them off. Kill people in ever more gruesome ways. About the time the group settles in and starts doing something constructive, have some major calamity and scatter them all over the country side - so you can have them find each other again and start over. It's not boring. It's senseless and stupid. The groups do so many stupid things trying to list them all would be work. For instance. Last time Rick's group drew the Governor's people into the prison and kicked their asses. Should have wiped them out, but that is a different issue. Sunday, they stand along the fences guns blazing. The Governor had already announced he wanted the place intact. So retreat inside and wait. It isn't safe for he and his people to stand outside the fence for days, so he'll either come in or go away. At some point the Gov's people have to try to take the prison from the inside, one cell block at a time. Advantage to Rick's team. And of course a good rifle and a scope could have taken the Gov out and the remaining people probably would have taken the offer to coexist. Then Rick goes mano a mano with the Governor as he walks past the bus he's hiding behind. That no one else notices is stupid too. What, they all forgot he was behind the bus?? But that's not quite as stupid as Rick - who gets the absolute snot beat out of him. Here is a suggestion Rick: He just cut off Hershel's head and he's leading a small army. Shoot the SOB in the back as he walks by. At this point, Rick's kid is smarter and a better leader than his old man. I'm done. But it won't affect the comic book prices, as I don't read or purchase them. I though the mid-season finale was entertaining and maintained the level of suspense and horror I have come to expect from this show. I'll be back for more episodes. I don't read the comic, so I'm guessing we'll spend the remainder of the season putting the group back together and I have my suspicions Carole will show up. So far for me, the Walking Dead, Revolution, Sleepy Hollow, and Dracula are delivering the entertainment this season. Revolution almost lost me last season, but this season has been really good. Sleepy Hollow has been consistently good since the start. Dracula started slow, but has really hit it's stride the past few episodes. I'm probably done with Haven and Agents of Shield. They will join a myriad of other shows I've watched but decided to stop because I lost interest. I cannot think of one event on either of these shows that I remember, whereas with the Walking Dead, there are several scenes and storylines that stand out this season. While I foresee more levelling off of the Walking Dead comic prices, I don't see the success of the TV show slowing down any time soon. I too thought the mid-season finale was very entertaining...Hey, it's just a TV show, slow moving zombies would never take over. As for Agents of Shield, I'm about done myself. I have the last two episodes recorded and I haven't even bothered to watch them yet..I'm just not interested in watching this show anymore. A of Shield is a bust in my book.
  11. The casting is horrific. No one in their right mind would entrust a small group of clueless kids like these to go on these missions. I wanted more James Bond and Alias and The Expendables from this series, and what we got instead was Scooby Doo meets The X-Files meets 90210. And, you know what? The "Wonder Twins" aren't even the worst part of the show. They are pretty bad, but, for me, Skye is worse - I can't stand her generic SoCal Millennial accent and too-hip attitude. She really belongs on some teen high school or college drama instead of an action/spy show. Ward and May are just , which might have been OK if they were surrounded by some hardcore spy types like in the comics, but their dullness is only amplified by their role on the show as glorified babysitters. And Peter MacNicol as an Asgardian former warrior, berserker, wooer of French women? Really? I'd sooner cast him for the next installment of "The Hobbit" series. As someone who has watched every episode so far, here's my take: - This show, perhaps more so then any other that I can remember, is a sci-fi sit-com, and doesn't even pretend to be anything else. It reminds me of the 90s Hercules or Xena shows, both in its lack of real drama, its mid-afternoon soaps production values, and its complete lack of taking itself seriously. You can get away with that to some degree when you have competent actors (like RDJ), provided you also deliver the goods with solid special effects and action sequences, but this group of post-pubescent misfits just can't pull it off. Compare that with Sleepy Hollow or Dracula, where the premise for both is even more absurd and detached from reality, yet superb casting and acting, as well as compelling storylines, make them far more believable. - I agree with Gene that the Skye character is the most overplayed at this point. She's lied to them, betrayed them, tossed out bad jokes to them, yet she is still a part of the team somehow. It's clear she is supposed to play a major role in the show, but it feels like the round peg in a square hole syndrome with the character. I don't even know if its the actress, so much as the one dimensional dialogue and complete absurdity of the premise behind her character (rogue wise-mouth hacker plays tag-along and becomes an Agent herself in the most bad-@ss secret organization on the planet...right). - The Wonder Twins. When they bother to cultivate some other aspects of the characters, they are at least bearable. The episode where Ward and Fitz went to some random former Soviet satelitte nation began to show the character in a different light, but the whole pesto sandwich thing just reminds you how slapstick and campy the whole show is. If they were gone, I wouldn't mind it at all, as they don't really add anything to the show, except for the desirable teen viewership element, I suppose. - Ward and May. Keep them. When they aren't forced to be wiping noses and dealing with tantrums for the kids, they are decent. - If Jive were doing the second season: Keep Coulson, May, and Ward, but supplement them with a "Hero" or two. I'm sure in the long list of lame Marvel characters, they can find a strongman-type (that can go head to head with Asgardian beserkers) and one that can play the role of a tech specialist/engineer, perhaps due to his natural ability to emphathize with machines or AIs. It's funny how the Android technician from Almost Human was more believable and amusing in brief appearances in just two episodes, then Fitz-Simmons have been in a half season of A.O.S, and his is as stereotyped a character as you'll ever see. Perhaps they can also create a second "strike team" of crack, well-equipped, S.W.A.T-style agents with a leader who is more of a black-and-white, follow-the-rules-and-kill-the-muties type to contrast against Coulson and his team. Its clear from Episode 7 that Coulson has some enemies at S.H.I.E.L.D, or at least a few folks who don't care for his leadership style. It seems like a natural fit to play off that somehow, and more then just occasionally. I don't know, the more I watch, the more it seems obvious that they are missing their opportunity to create something special. Especially, when you compare it with shows like Sleepy Hollow and Dracula, that are going out of their way to take existing sci-fi/horror characters and create something wholly unique with them, A.O.S is really looking lackluster. I've seen every episode as well (Yawn!) and I'm about to drop it. I'll probably watch 2-3 more episodes and then I'm done. You couldn't have stated what's going on with the show any better.
  12. The book looks great in the second pic, but the question is which one more closely resembles the actual book? That should be the goal. +1 for sure.
  13. Yes, everything is good now (for the most part). Got a replacement that, so far, is working fine. I'm just having a problem with glare on the thick slabs. I have seen other scans of thick slabs with little to no glare. I'm using the standard HP scanning software (not sure if this is the issue), but I am wondering if there is a way to reduce the glare? Here is an example that I scanned. Also this scan did not come out well and it is not a thick slab. Does Vue Scan offer any image quality improvements over the standard HP software, or does it just add more features and ease of use? Thanks. My HP8250 has glare on some of the scans as well. Funny, the back cover scans had no glare.
  14. What are the TV Nielsen Ratings for the show? Have they come out yet? I liked the show ok. I think it will improve over time...hopefully!
  15. There is a 9.9 of this comic on eBay right now for 25K if you're thinking about an upgrade. Gotta be a 10.0 not some skimpy looking 9.9
  16. Do you think I'm in the running for one of worst mis-wraps for a comic? I've had this book for years but finally dug it out and remembered the terrible mis-wrap. Got something worse? Let's see it. Actually, I may have another book worst than this...I'll try to find it.
