  1. Also the $3988 for Werewolf by Night #33 in CGC 9.6...a 9.6 mind you when the last GPA sale is like 1300 I think. Glad I have a copy.
  2. I won this but also wanted the #3 to go along with it. Sigh!
  3. A Werewolf By Night 33 in CGC 9.6 on ComicLink closed at $3,988 dollars! ...This is just a 9.6!!!! I have a copy but just can't believe what this sold for!!!
  4. All the best to you in your fight against this and here's hoping for the fastest recovery possible.
  5. Sold my 9.4 for $1600 about 17 years ago..sigh! Me wants it back my precious GS X-Men 1!
  6. Welcome to the boards! This is the wrong forum thread to post wanting to buy books. This is the Selling forum. Please post in the “Wanted to Buy” thread. Enjoy the boards.
  7. My 2-cents..Is "pending back cover scan" means I "may not" take the book if I don't like the way the "back cover looks"..."I need to decide if I want the book by looking at the back cover first" before I go ahead and "confirm" the deal. The other poster did the "Take It" and that person doesn't care what the back cover looks like. I'm taking that book "even if" it's got writing all over it. water stains, ripped in half, crayon sketches all over it.."I'm taking it period". No condition in place at all. "I don't have to wait to see the back cover...I'm taking it right now...no conditions attached"...Seems pretty clear to me on who wins the book. The person who posted the "Take it" with no "pending" in their post.
  8. Really Nice looking copy! If only I could "find" 22K on the side of the road or somewhere else.
  9. In nearly all cases my "going after" a 9.9 or 10.0 is sending the book(s) in to CGC and they come back graded 9.9 or 10.0. much to my surprise.
  10. Yes, I think you're right. The prices on some of these books have really shot up..Hard to resist selling I think.
  11. I think it's more than a few thousand. I think a lot of people have collected for years and years and just haven't sold their collection yet and a lot of their books are now worth a lot more then what they paid for them.
  12. Yes, very sad indeed! All the best for Steve as he fights this. Incredible Spider-man collection.
  13. Well...can't speak for anybody else but I'm not going to bid or buy books from any of his listings. NO WAY!
  14. Too many comics to count for me....Hulk 181, Luke Cage 1, GS X-Men 1..for the heavy hitters...a bunch more..SOB!
  15. Good deal...per my post above...thought it would take a lot longer...
  16. Proceed very slowly extracting the paper and tape. You will have to take breaks to relieve the tension you will be experiencing. You might have to just try one comic per day. Good luck!
  17. I have a safe deposit box but my bank does not have a 10k value limit...or hasn't told me about it. Remember this though, If something happens to your valuables the bank is not liable for any of it from what I read...Even if it's their fault in most cases. You are simply making a decision that storing the valuables in a safe deposit box is safer/more secure then storing them at home or where ever else you normally store your valuables.
