Wow‼️ You dropped some serious coin , your LCS must be happy👍‼️
Yeah, he was happy. I'm lucky in that he calls me when new stuff comes in because he knows he'll get some of his money back quickly and he's very fair with the prices. He's not like other stores in town who either look like a museum, or grade so loose that you never get your moneys worth..

Thanks! I do love my 9.9.
I wonder... How many of these 9.9s and 10s people are showing off are purchased vs. sent in for grading.
I must say I was very pleasantly surprised to see a 9.9 but I did not submit it. I pre-ordered this book in a 9.8 and the store sent me this.
Maybe they did not open the box to confirm and just assumed all would be 9.8s since they did ask for a minimum of 9.8s? Not sure how it worked out for them but I am happy that I was sent 9.9. Mine came in a box from CGC and not in a box from the store I placed my order with.I've only received 1 9.9 and it was a Grimm Fairy Tales J Scott Campbell Variant from around 2010.

Mr. Rose! Are those self-submittals? FANtastic set!
No, I wish. At the time I had to really pay up for these(2014-2016), although I'm sure it's nothing like they would cost in current times. This Venom arc was responsible for getting me into collecting more seriously in 89/90 so I decided to go all out and get the 9.9's.

We are pleased to be able to bring the Truckee Meadows Collection to the public. Including hundreds of high grade original owner Silver Age comics, as well as hundreds of Golden Age comics acquired by that owner during the early 1960s, the collection sat untouched from 1965 until this winter. Some of the issues have already been certified by CGC as among the best examples yet found.
We will be offering many of the books directly, but when it came to the best of the best, there was no better partner than Heritage Auctions. The experience working with Heritage to bring these books to market has exceeded all our expectations. Five books from the Truckee Meadows Collection debut in the Signature Auction closing April 7th, headlined by the CGC 9.2 Fantastic Four #1, with many more to follow in the coming months.
Aha, Omega Frog Comics. I'm very familiar with that store. I travel to Reno/Sparks for work and have been in the store a few times.

We buy about fifty collections each month. Most are small modern collections but we see a collection of 100+ Silver at a time probably fifteen times a year.
Second best at this store was probably a collection of 20,000 books that included 500 high grade silver and 3000 high grade bronze.
What's the name of your store?

I find my dealers are selling their raws at CGC prices. All the reward without any of the risk. It's a real turn-off

Those of you who live in Southern California probably know Frank and Son in the City of Industry. In a nutshell it's a convention every weekend held in a former Sam's Club and is currently dominated these days by card collectors. I went there three times during the pandemic when there were restrictions were 10% of the building occupancy. The first time I went it was closed. The other two times I went there was a line that stretched for about about and hour or two and people were patiently waiting to get in - I wasn't one of them. When occupancy restrictions were softened and I was fully vaccinated I went back and there was no line - I zipped right in. Everyone is excited to experience conventions - for a fan it'll be easier than for a dealer who may not be able to have more than one location (Harley Yee comes to mind). Frank and Son's has about a half dozen decent comic dealers which is not too bad for a single place but I am utterly astounded at the amount of sport, pokemon and MTG stands that have now popped up.
I went to Frank and Sons last weekend while on vacation at Disneyland. It seemed like a normal comic convention atmosphere with very few masks. It almost felt like everything was back to normal. It's the first time I've been there in 4 years and I found a number of cool books to buy.
I attended one of the Ohana cons in Norcal about a month ago and there were a lot of people there. The comic selection was a joke, but still plenty of foot traffic.
I;ll be attending my first decent sized local show this weekend. We'll see how it goes.

I don't think it's faded. It looks like it was printed without blue ink as @Neurosis138 described.
That's a manufacturing error (usually gets a CGC green label). Still cool, though.
Yep, definitely not faded. There is no Blue on this cover. I may send it in just for fun.

I came across this pink logo error in a collection yesterday and I was wondering if anyone else had seen or has one. None of the copies on ebay have the pink logo. It looks like the Cyan printing plate didn’t make it onto this cover. The back cover also has no blue in it. Probably not overly valuable but I thought it was cool.

I live in Sacramento. I try and shop all the local stores regularly. Here’s a list of some off the top of my head:
Comic Command Center (what’s up Josh)
A1 comics
Ken’s Comics
World’s Best Comics
Empire’s Comic Vault
those are the stores I frequent -

I use the Apache 4800's. Plucked the foam to have 4 rows. Have about 1500 slabs so I have 3 of them. They dont shift or anything when closed- highly recommend and cant beat the price.
If you have less than 60 graded cards, and want to go a bit more high-class - check these out https://palmsoffgaming.com.au/collectors-series-deluxe-psa-storage-box/
Can we see a picture of the case holding cards?

Advertising the set before sending it to auction?
Mostly just advertising. I'm in no hurry to sell. If someone wants to pay close to my crazy asking price I might change my mind. It's a longshot, but you never know with everything going on.

Back in January I bought a copy of GSX1 CGC 9.2 from a board member for $4250. Unfortunately, the book came with some slab damage and he agreed to return it. An unfortunate situation for both of us at the time. The next week that book started it's epic climb. I'm sure the seller was bummed at the time, but in the weeks since then the book has more than doubled in value
