  1. At least I got a remainder copy of a Foxhole 2 left.
  2. Please stop reporting. My heart cant take it anymore.
  3. I find it boring purchasing via auction houses and dealers. Its much more fun to hunt them down elsewhere and get them cheap. I like my comics cheap.
  4. When I bought from the US here from the boards and from Ebay I got the comics always with USPS and the sellers wrote a low value on the parcel so that I alway got them direct to me (Germany) without problems. But that was 10 years ago, the good old days. Days gone bye it seems.
  5. We life in a time of great risk and great opportunity. Changes not seen in a hundred years happen.
  6. I found this beauty in the wild, hiding in a stack of 50s drek:
  7. 2023 is a world away from 1970. The 70s and 80s were the golden earning years for the workforce. I just heard an interesting point about international money flows from Hugh Hendry: China deflects all the Dollars earned from exports back to the USA not letting them into China via buying US government bonds. This makes everything in the US ever more expensive up to the point of unaffordability. Interesting also: there is much much more money in the world than things to buy with it. What does that mean?
  8. There is street smart and there is book smart. If you got only one of these you are half smart. Winner is who has both. Sucker is who has none of the two.
  9. I am one of those scorned Comic book market naysayers. Mark my words: it started with moderns but in time it will eat through bronze, then silver and lastly reaches gold. Ps I heard there will be an bank run tomorrow?
  10. The first german Marvel I bought was in 1974, Frankenstein 10. The first US marvel was in 1980, Cap 241. Still have both.
  11. Hopefully not the end times but certainly the end of post WW 2 US/Western lead economic, financial, cultural and military dominance of the world. And demographics play a major role in this game.
  12. Me thinks the rate of old collectors dying off maybe higher than the rate of new (not short lived speculators) collectors entering the field.
  13. Could it be the rising prices are just reflecting the inflation? Normal Inflation from 2015-2018. Since then Inflation started to gallop.
  14. I am a lowballer. But in the realm of sanity. For instance, if someone offers a book for $ 200 I offer 150 to 160. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. I always ask if the seller has more books. Last week I got a 6.5 Cowgirl Romances 9 for $ 50 that way. Dealing outside of Ebay is risky but so far I got not burned yet. I check the sellers score, I Email with him and try to get a feeling if the the person is honest.
  15. The UK run. I got the other two issues for about 20 to 30 Dollars each.
  16. I am missing this one from the run. The boat to get them cheap has sailed.
  17. Dont forget demographics. Most Collectors are Boomers and Gen Xers. Old or getting old. And I have a hunch not everyone will live to 90. Moreover think about how many speculators thought BTC at 50 or 40k was an opportunity to "buy the dip". And: The dollar based monetary system created in 1944 is done or nearly done. We are all in a fog.
