Is there a price guide for mexican /south american books? Or any info about what books have been reprinted in spanisch/portugese? Ive seen Atlas Subbies for instance.
-
Its by Locker. No date info inside. But its quite thick, 68 pgs. Maybe thats the reason for the high price? Looks like a fifties book to me. Its not imported. Printed in Britain.
Anyway I get more and more intersted in 40s & 50s foreign comics reprinting US Material esp. UK/Aus and Mex. & S.A. I believe much of this material is quite rare.

Unfortunately not. But all three copies have been reprinted and can be bought cheap.

A couple of years ago someone posted a chinese reprint of an US golden age comic. Pre Mao time. These books must be incredibly rare I guess. Does anybody knows about these?
-
Yes. B & W interiors. Five years after the war it couldnt possibly be a success. Most people were struggling just to stay alive.

Why are the pics so small? I liked the old boards more. Why fix it if it aint broken?

Supermann 1 from 1950. Aprox. 16.000 Euro. They published two more, then it folded.

It looks great as it is. I wouldnt restore it.

2 hours ago, Robot Man said:
I have thought a lot about restoration on this book. But then it would be well...restored. It is what it is and I think I can live with it's "well loved" look. I've had it for over 30 years and in all that time have seen only a few more. I would love to have the Marvel Mystery to go with it but that is unlikely. And no it isn't for sale for mere "dead presidents"

I don't like changes. But at least I managed to sign in.

Do you know why the SA/GA mexican/south american reprints of US book are as expensive as the originals? Because of mexican/south american collectors? I find them very interesting.

Smooth transaction without any problems.

I want to put an OA page for sale in the OA section: Matt Baker / Fight Comics 39 pg. 23.

I love to follow your thread. Do you have some stories to share from your collecting days back then?

I find it remarkable that in the early 70s they were German GA collectors who were willing to pay serious money. Did they buy anything from that collection?
-
I sold him a Menace 2. Smooth transaction.
-
When do you got a knowledge about that there are "serious" collectors who pay more than the cover price for certain issues? I wonder if those keys like Action 1 or DC 27 had collector prices/value in the 50s or late 40s?
-
Marty thats impressive. Did you stop collecting between all those years? Maybe you can tell some stories of the early days.

I like the post war MM covers, especially when done by Syd Shores.

I love Superior especially the fact that they are so inferior.
I found this Frankenstein Number 18:
Strange Tales 75. "I am Taboo" Did I overpay?
