I think faking OA is technically very easy in comparison to a comic. Take black Ink the right cardboard and maybe a publishers stamp. Most olden age OA doesnt exist anymore so someone can recreate a piece and say that it has been found somewhere.

Hopefully CGC will be able to track fakes in the future when they appear.

I dont know if this has been discussed here before. Every item that is valuable will be faked if its worthwhile (art is the best example). Its just a matter how high are the costs of producing the fake and whats left for profit. Now with the million dollar barrier beeing broken on the top books do you think this will happen? Is it technically possible (to find the old paper stock etc.). Seems to me its not that difficult.

I like that cover. Tells a whole story.

Wow, besides Gaines ECs are rare in HG. I was so sure mine was 9.0 or better...but it came back 7.0...I am not over it till today...disappointing...concrats to your 9.4

"War comics: a graphic history." Came across this paperback today . By Mike Conroy. Looks interesting.

I know its been said often before: This board provides so much valuable information. It must be a horror for people who make their money with the ignorance of many collectors.

Of course they were described as NM raw. Now, three years later I know whats meant with Ebay NM.

The first Comic I ever won off Ebay was from Samco. Paid immediately but never got the book. Contacted seller, he said he looks after it. However I never got my book nor my money. Fortunately it was only about 20 $ plus 12 $ postage (overseas). Needless to say I will never bid again at Samco.

Got this in the mail today. Fresh copy with deep & vivid colors. Looks like printed yesterday. A truly classic cover.

About two weeks ago or so I saw a seller on german ebay called "altermann1946" or "altermann1947" (cant remember exactly) with zero feedback selling books like Avengers 4, GA All Stars with 99 cent starting bid etc. More than suspicious. I instantly thought of Uthe.
