He answered the call asap, changed his clothes and went directly to the surgery block. He found the boy's father walking in the hall waiting for him. Once seeing him, the dad yelled: "Why did you take all this time to get here? Don't you know that my son's life is in danger? Don't you have any sense of responsibility?" The doctor smiled and said: "I am sorry, I wasn't in the hospital and I came as fast as I could after receiving the call...... now, I wish you'd calm down so that I can do my work" "Calm down?! What if your son was in this room right now, would you calm down? If your own son dies now what will you do??" said the father angrily.. The doctor smiled again and replied: "I will say what Job said in the Holy Bible "From dust we came and to dust we return, blessed be the name of God". Doctors cannot prolong lives. Go and intercede for your son, we will do our best by God's grace" "Giving advice when we're not concerned is so easy" murmured the father. The surgery took several hours after which the doctor went out happily, "Thank goodness!, your son is saved!" Without waiting for the father's reply he went on his way- running. "If you have any questions, ask the nurse!!" "Why is he so arrogant? Couldn't he wait a few minutes so that I could ask about my son's state?" commented the father when seeing the nurse, minutes after the doctor left. The nurse answered, tears coming down her face: "His son died yesterday in a road accident, he was at the funeral when we called him for your son's surgery. And now that he saved your son's life, he left hurriedly to finish his son's burial."Never judge anyone.....because you never know how their life is & what they're going through. My apologies to the group...i thought it was mike browning who claimed to say something to me in 2016 san diego con which i know never happened with him...and that's what upset me in my previous post. people here can post .......with ZERO accountability .....with multiple screen names...... without ever posting their real names or even an email address to verify when they make false statements. (which happens a lot, without any backlash sadly) i'd have realized who the original poster was had I known their name ....so again.....My Apologies for my mistake there. I bought this cover for 4000 dollars cash in 2016 as the original 1974 swamp thing #15 cover and i also emailed this Dennis fellow last night to try to get to the bottom of this as I've never heard of him before last night. thanks for the advice guys....i just downloaded this app and just practiced on some older art.... what setting is best for comic art? and older painted art? i can clean it up in adobe photoshop as needed to fine tune it....but I was curious what is the best settings are? ...any help is appreciated as i have so so much older very large pieces of art and this would be AMAZING for me as a 1 man show to have a great app for oversized art so I dont have to scan halves and stitch together in photoshop. also curious as to the setting that can still show the super detailed lines in artwork without losing any detail (or color for paintings) Mike.

Again..... All he did was ask a simple question if this art was authentic........ If i hadnt been familair with ron Frenz art i'd ask this question also ona chat board that talks about comic art. All you and Malvin had to say was "YES" It was originally owned by frenz.... (which you guys did say) and to me that's the end of the story as his question is now answered. but I dont see how you and malvin and others are getting on this guy for asking a reasonable question he had? Has he asked 100 times about this art? if so I stand corrected..... I've put out lots of Romita prelims over the years and people ask publicly and privately if they are real or not and i say yes (or no..or not sure if i dont own it and it looks wrong),if they are considered drawn by Romita... i dont get upset at the person in a public forum asking a legit question by calling him out unless he is saying some very disparaging remarks about the art Just my 2 cents there...and...... This is sorta BS in my opinion.....(and I'm friends with Reuben and Malvin....) This has happened HUNDREDS of times on this very board where people post with a headline "FAKE" .....and only "NOW" we criticize one guy for asking this exact question: "Anyone have any clue as to their authenticity?" I dont believe this injitial poster was being harsh or mean or calling it fake in any way. I have some similar looking prelims from the ASM 252 cover and many other ASM covers that i bought directly from Ron Frenz many years ago when I visited him at his studio. Does my posting this make this prelim by ruben NOW a fake? NO...... Are the prelims I own fake? NO...... no one knows definitively unless they got the non piblished art directly from the artist...... (unless it's crazy crude drawings we see on ebay all the time) yet we like to tar and feather others for asking honest opinions on a CHAT BOARD..... if something is legit? Does anyone not see the irony there in putting this guy down for his question?

I sold the asm #100 cover and the captain america 109 cover to the same collector... I assume he is getting out of the hobby now!

Spidey is all stat here....looks like kingpin is all stat as well...and there is so much tape covering art on this cover it looks DEPLORABLE!!!! They must have used half a roll of magic tape on this cover....Water damage and mold are clearly visible but covered by black ink to hide the damage from unsuspecting buyers....... Just looking at my computer screen at this actual HA auction I can smell the mold! Looks like its all fading also. There are numerous tears everywhere and the art (what's left of it anyway) is clearly trimmed right to the art like a bad comic book novice collector trimmed it, which devalues it immensely.......And in the entire black background area of this cover, Steve Ditko penciled a super detailed Dr. Strange image, (as he was going to co-star in this issue initially) As Ditko was just taking a vacation after ASM #38, and Ditko was ready to take over the art chores on ASM again after his 22 issue vacation.....So he came back to the office to start back up on Spidey, but Stan then told Romita to erase the Dr. Strange image and ink DIRECTLY over the Ditko Dr strange image on this cover! Stan Lee and Steve Ditko then got in a BIG fight over this very cover and Larry Lieber and John Romita had to pull Ditko off of Stan Lee, and Ditko left Marvel for almost 20 YEARS....never to draw Spider-Man AGAIN!!!! So this actual cover is WHY DITKO LEFT MARVEL!!!! This ASM #60 cover art is VERY tainted to most ASM art fans even more now because of this absolutely new knowledge! So ya...This ASM #60 cover art is just bad Karma to anyone who bids on it! It's worth MAYBE half of what the ASM 55 cover sold for recently with no detailed background to be seen...So in review here.........With Ditko getting kicked off the ASM title and leaving Marvel over this very ASM cover, Any smart, savvy art collector would be wise to just save their money and spend ALL that money in the SPRING 2019 HA auction to bid on the INCREDIBLY historic ASM #39 cover which will be in that HA spring 2019 auction.....(or so i've heard!!)

Anthony purchased the ASM 59 cover for i believe 11k the seller told me...but what year was that?? that was in the late 90s i think..and Anthony couldnt get the cash out of the asm 59 so he traded it for 2 large art Covers....1 was a JLA...and i think possibly a TOS Ironman was the other.... plus a small amount of cash....I got the ASM 59 for a 1960s kirby thor cover......and another Large art cover and a fair amount of cash in 2016.... i could be off a little. but I dont see how any of this correlates to today and perceived values of art........ what i do know is.......TIMING is EVERYTHING........ (whether you are selling..or buying) Look at the jim Aparo market.....his KEY Spectre and Batman art has doubled & even tripled in just over 1 year.
