He website was listed in the SA forum. That's what I clicked and the site is now defunct. He can always restore the URL and just have it redirect to his ebay store. Regarding his ebay store...with so many of them, I figured I would list ebay once and not individual ebay stores. After all, it's the comics we're looking for and ebay will show you everything. If someone else wanted to individually list all the ebay stores that sell comics, it shouldn't take more than a weekend.

Got it. The list in post 2 is updated with "James" As noted in Post 1, I'm only going by the links directly to business websites that were listed in the SA and GA forums. I did not look anywhere else. So, I ignored Ebay stores. Facebook, instagram, etc also ignored. That would be a nice weekend project for someone.

I was planning to spend a few minutes this morning to add a few new sites to my comic book search engine (ComicSeeker.com) so I thought it would be a good exercise to go through the lists here on the board. I went to the SA Dealer list in the SA forum and the GA Dealer list in the GA forum. I clicked on every link I could find. I excluded all Ebay links. That means I came up with 113 SA/GA dealer links. The results were disappointing. Active = appears to be an active website Inactive = the website loads, but does not appear to have any recent activity Defunct = the website does not load Caveat on “Active” dealer websites: Some that were active were legit dealers with nice backstock. Some are just a LCS that put their link in the thread and some just link to Ebay from their active website. Some I listed as active it was difficult to tell when they last updated their site, so it may need to be switched to Inactive. If I were to guess, I would say, roughly 20 of the 47 active SA/GA dealers are worth visiting their website. I'm just presenting the data, so you can make that call yourself. I'll put the list in the next post. I'm happy to update my spreadsheet for the next couple of days. Thereafter, no more updates for a while. A few years ago in Seattle, I was at a dealer booth and joined a conversation with a few guys. One of them did the speed date thing the night before. He said almost every woman he chatted with said something along the lines of (use surprised, judgmental voice in your head) "oh, you mean you're into 'comic book' comics"

Going back to my previous comment being transparent about finances with my wife, this area is what seems to cause the most difficulty for some of you. Here is how we look at managing this part of our 25+ year marriage. Comic buying falls in three categories: investment, entertainment and enrichment Investment: You need to have good asset allocation, such as stocks, bonds, real estate, etc. I allocate 5% of investments to funny books. As long as they continue to return better than my core bond funds, all is good here. Unfortunately, due to rapid appreciation, comics are overweighted right now, but I'm not selling! Entertainment: Comics are for reading, so some money is allocated here, same as movies, eating out, Netflix, AppleTV, etc. So, no complaining here as this has pretty quick return on happiness. Enrichment: Everyone needs physical and emotional enrichment. For example, last year I spent money buying a nice Cervelo road bike and my wife spent money on lots of sewing and knitting supplies. So, we agree on money in this category is well spent. Comics provide me emotional enrichment. Yes, you can put a price on it. I know it's hard to get started with this type of conversation, but get it done now and be happy later. This is my model for happiness. Good luck to all.

I don't know why, but when I was younger, for some reason, I thought my wife enjoyed going to conventions with me. Once I stopped dragging her, not a peep about my comics. We only discuss comics at Halloween to make sure we have enough to give away. We review finances regularly, so I think that avoids major issues. And, her hobby is baking.
