  1. Has anyone seen an issue with this kind of error in the price? I've found a couple and I can't find anything on them.
  2. Good ebay deal at $40. No chips, no spine splits. The tape isn't holding anything on, it was what looks like a precautionary measure by the original owner.
  3. I have a DD #5 with the same kind of error except the pages are sealed on the top all the way across. Someone tore through them back in the day so theres a large portion of one page attached upside down to another adjoining page
  4. The finds were bountiful this weekend. I got these on top of a nice lot of golden age books I posted yesterday in the Golden age forum's Atlas thread.
  5. It was a good day for deals at the markets this morning. I've never found so many late 40's early 50's books in one spot. This thread deserves a good bump, so heres a nice big group to brighten everyone's weekend.
  6. I think it was originally meant to be in 3D but they scrapped it part of the way through. There are 3 consecutive issues with him and none are in 3D.
  7. Good thing no one checks the Mixed age sales forum. I was able to fill in some of the holes in my collection with some beautiful books on the cheap
  8. Everyone keeps mentioning all these Marvel Premiere books but you've all danced around quite possibly the best character of all...3D Man! Seriously though I'd love to see him...
  9. Would you believe I can tie this to golden age american comics? That's Peko-chan, she's the mascot for Milky brand candy all the way back from 1950. She's definitely one of the most popular mascots, but would you believe she's a blatant rip off of an american ad? She was stolen from the Bird's Eye Kids from 1949. Coincidentally there was a coloring book published by Timely featuring the Bird's Eye Kids from 1950. (Sorry for hijacking your thread Robot Man I thought you might like the history.)
  10. Seems to me everyone in the wild west was either a "kid", an "outlaw", or in some cases both
  11. Unfortunately for some reason last time I put it on I got banned from my local con for "indecent exposure" and "making a scene" whatever that means
  12. Anybody else collect comic related Ben Cooper costumes? This is the only Dazzler I've ever seen I imagine the female related costumes are harder to come by.
  13. This weekend's addition to the the ever growing Atlas file!
  14. Couple villain first apps I got at a con this weekend. Slowly filling in all my early TOS issues, certainly no easy task.
  15. Well I hit a small con and one of the vendors I'm friendly with had this. If anyone was wondering this is what a flat $20 gets you when we're talking about early ASM The interior is complete though so another reader down for the collection
  16. Convention find this weekend. Marvel Science Fiction May 1951. Love the "beauty" and the detail all around in "the eye of the beholder".
