  1. 0.5. If I had this I would consider getting it restored.
  2. Front cover right edge creased; somewhat ragged edge to back cover (presumably production defect); small tear at bottom of spine (same); ink smear (or stain?) in middle of spine. 9.0 - 9.2
  3. Nice shape for presumably being tossed around in a Goodwill store -- I think after a press it would get a 8.5 -- 9.0. Some color breaking on the spine. If your goal is to sell it, I wouldn't pay to get it pressed -- sell it as is and say "very pressable". (I assume you can't have paid more than a dollar for it at Goodwill.)
  4. You can almost see Big Barda taking shape in that shot of Crystal by Jack Kirby
  5. Thanks -- any grader's notes beyond the interior printing errors? The book presents pretty well in person.
  6. Beautiful looking book. A handful of creases on the spine, a couple of which break color at and above the lower staple. The creasing and blunting in the lower right corner of the cover keep it below a 9.0. I think this is a solid 8.5.
  7. I count at least 10 color-breaking creases on the spine. The lower right corner has creases. Looks like a discoloration or scratch between Spidey's legs in the Marvel box. Back cover could use a dry cleaning. Otherwise, really nice book! 8.0 -8.5.
  8. I didn't notice the top staple issue. If it was truly missing, I guess CGC would consider it a production defect. Would defer to more knowledgeable folks on the board, however.
  9. Auction finds for a DC fan. . . includes some minor keys -- first Catwoman, first Darkseid, first Metamorpho, first Wonder Girl, first Doom Patrol. The Conan lot was a bonus.
  10. Nicer condition than the other two . . . after pressing I think this will be 6.5 - 7.0.
  11. The numerous chips and creases put it in the 4.0 - 4.5 range, in my opinion.
  12. A higher quality scan would aid in grading, especially on the cover. Blowing up the pic, I see some funky stuff going on with the cover alongside "Never Let the Black Cat Cross Your Path"; maybe one or two spine tics, hard to tell; looks like a very small chip on top of front cover above "Group" in Marvel banner; ink smears on back cover; food or grease stain on back cover. 7.0 - 8.0 -- that stain on the back cover kills the grade.
  13. Beautiful copy, 30 cent variant!! Noice! A couple of spine tics above the Space God's ear; a small chip at the bottom right of the front cover; some small discoloration to the left of the call-out box at the bottom of the front cover (what is that, a divot or something on the scanner?); ink smears on back cover -- what are those two lines?? If the ink can be cleaned and whatever those lines are removed, 9.2 with a strong possibility of 9.4. Otherwise, 9.0 max.
  14. Handful of spine tics that break color; small color-breaking creases on upper right front corner; crease on upper rear spine. Nice book! 6.0 - 6.5. Love the date stamp on the board!
  15. Multiple spine tics that break color; multiple creases that break color on upper and lower right corners; cover is off-center due to production flaw or bad pressing job; what looks like a 1-inch tear (might be a crease) on back cover. 4.0 - 4.5
  16. Multiple spine breaks, multiple small tears on bottom front cover, color breaking creases elsewhere. Probably a 3.5. A shame about that spine, otherwise it presents really well!
  17. Those lines are odd -- the book looks like it's been sleeved since it was printed. Really beautiful copy, though. 9.4
  18. Looks to me it should be at the higher range of VG to FN, Probably a 5.0.
  19. I think that large crease in the lower right corner will keep it from getting above a 9.0.
  20. Interior pages are cream. In addition to your opinion on the grade, there are a couple of items on the interior I would like thoughts on -- pics below. Are these printing defects? Edit: you should note the small chip in the bottom edge below "The" of "The Jackal".
