  1. silly question, we know when the cut off dates are for these signings but when will we find out the actual dates of the signings themselves? ex. I know Claremont was scheduled to sign around MEGACON Orlando June 4-7 but with that cancelled when will we find out the exact day of the in house signing would like to know not only to have a sense of when the books will be coming back but Brittany had mentioned they were going to livestream parts of the appearances like they did with McFarlane and make it more interactive EDIT: looking back on the thread from the Todd signing, no one was told the exact date until Todd posted that he was on his way to CGC on the same day (this after his signing was pushed back because of illness) I hope the CGC team gives us some kind of heads up in advance ..... good news is, books were turned around and graded almost instantly during that signing
  2. I thought you had to purchase them for $5, no? at least that’s what comes up when you do the cert lookup on the site
  3. I would hope he/she has already I would say, make sure and post back here as I'm sure many would like to hear what the outcome is
  4. the answer is yes (you can combine in 1 single shipment) confirmed shortly after the 6:20 mark of this video https://youtu.be/6Mx5ST-Musw how exactly you submit the order I don’t know and customer service would likely be your best bet
  5. they were raw when he received the offer, the post is somewhat misleading even still it was a lowball offer
  6. start the submission form and there is a reholder option https://www.cgccomics.com/orderform/#/submit/services
  7. yes, unfortunately there are some shops out there that would try and take advantage of those less knowledgable so always best to use tools at your disposal before making sudden decisions .... I assume this thread though wasn’t to confirm that the value was lowballed as it appears you inherited these books raw ~ 2 years ago if the book was signed by Kirby wouldn’t it be a green label? EDIT: I see CGC seems to have done blue labels on unwittness sigs probably before they created the green labels as others have echoed, sorry for your loss .... looks like you are enjoying the books and the memories
  8. ^ ouch maybe that’s when he took his one bathroom break hope CGC can make this right if that is indeed the issue
  9. I wanted to send in a book for Perez to sign but damn those Avengers covers are super busy and George doesn’t exactly have the most stand out auto ... would have loved to have done 181 but just decided to pass this time I did send in Wolverine 8 for Claremont .... I have no attachment to this book and would have leaned more toward sending in an X book (thought about 142 to sign in the sentinel blast area) but I thought Wolverine 8 would present really nice and is a cool cover Miller was more than I’d be willing to spend Ps. There was a new signing announced yesterday (Mike Mayhew) that I didn’t see anyone (Adamantium 😉) post yet https://www.cgccomics.com/news/article/8299/
  10. the question was asked about celebrities in the video I linked short answer was CGC would like to do it but it would have to make sense for both parties, many "celebrities" are going to demand a different kind of cost (ex. Tom Holland was mentioned as an example)
  11. not sure why you wouldn't go directly to CGC customer service is going to be your best bet https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/topic/93395-customer-service/ also as Lest stated you should know where he would have signed as all submissions required that they were window bagged "Put ALL ungraded books in window bags or they will not be accepted." best of luck
  12. As mentioned in this post @Brittany M. stated yesterday that she is continuing to seek talent for in house singings throughout this year and was seeking feedback as to who the community was interested in. With that said, thought it might be interesting to see a Top 3 Wishlist from everyone Please try and limit it to 3 only, no honorable mentions, ties, etc. and this is just a wishlist so please be respectful if for example someone lists a personality that isn’t big on the auto scene. I would keep this to living persons only though I’ll start, in no particular order - John Romita Sr. - Alex Ross - John Byrne
  13. Brittany from CGC did an interview on a stream yesterday where she mentioned she is working on lots more private signings for this year and wanted community feedback as it is in almost everyone’s best interest that they bring in talent with the most appeal ... they ar looking for the best avenue to obtain feedback on a wishlist but I would assume feedback on these boards is a good starting point (JR Sr please 😀) here is the link to the interview which is fairly long, detailed, and enjoyable https://youtu.be/6Mx5ST-Musw as you said, as much as everyone would want this it presents a logistical challenge and until that can be properly addressed to satisfy all parties and concerns it’s just how it has to be this is also addressed in the interview linked above
  14. ^ could also be that the guests for the limited October con could change based on schedules of the talent so this could have an effect on any number of the scheduled private signings as well
  15. 2021? as previously noted the Florida con has been rescheduled to the end of October the signings were to take place in conjunction with that con because CGC HQ is within the market .... all indications now point to them holding the books until the end of October for this signing .... I don't see them flying in the artists before then for an additional signing .... will wait for official word from CGC but based on what Delta posted these still need to be submitted this month (unless they move the deadline back and extend free membership allowance) to be held until the October event reschedule.
  16. Happy to report, I had received my first CGC slabbed book today background: collected Marvel comic books throughout my childhood in the in 70's had some dumb idea in the 80's to sell my collection for some quick cash which amounted to pennies on the dollar from a LCS feeling nostalgic, I had always wanted to get a comic from my birth month/year (and possibly date if possible) to display .... since date wasn't an option (or at least anything I would have wanted), I stuck to month/year and picked up the following raw book from the bay didn't have the book cleaned/pressed .... though I probably could have got rid of some of the dirty coloring in the white whoosh on the cover ("whoosh" is the correct terminology, yes?) dropped my comic off at my not exactly L LCS back on 12/14 and finally got the call yesterday that the book was back and went to pick it up today in spoiler tags in case you want to guess the grade (it came back the exact grade I thought it would) during my long wait I had to find something to keep me engaged, it wasn’t until then that I realized there were actually 2 other books with the same story title with 1 of the 2 actually releasing just a year after ASM 60 so with that I present the "O, Bitter Victory" collection ...... no intention of getting the other 2 books graded but a fun little project nonetheless, hope you enjoyed the read
  17. I’d say this ^ is pretty much spot on now I know it was only a pg counting not a grading, but if they actually graded with the same speed maybe it wouldn’t take 2+ months to get a book back
  18. personally not a fan of the mis-cut/alignment of the top of the book but that’s just my opinion assume that doesn’t effect the grade as it would be considered a production defect
  19. maybe if you want CGC to keep the book there are other costs to account for such as shipping both ways and if instead submitting at a con/show or such the cost of admission to that
