  1. I'm kind of a Tojo man myself. Hitler was a great villain. I came across this book recently (now on ebay) It has all three of WWII axis of evil on the cover. Some creative kid replace the sliced off top portion with his own art. Clever! Tell the truth you redrew that back in the 70's... What else you got for sale? Have $$!
  2. Just bought this tonight from a fellow board member! Love this cover...
  3. Sweet pickup! I'm jealous! Let me know if you ever get bored with it...sweet Zip!
  4. All Star Comics is by far my favourite run. Then Justice League of America, particularly the first sixty issues. It went drastically off after that. The the Inferior Five, Metal Men, Metamorpho, Lois Lane, Jimmy Olsen, and the Legion Of Super Heroes when they were in Adventure Comics. My most cherished comic is Double Action 2. I'm sad it's not Buzzy #70, Ian! How's my old book doing by the way? Glad to see you posting on here, and I listened to the Metro Interview. I love to hear a fellow collector so passionate about their comics!
  5. Lots of greats are passing away - how many are left that were drawing covers to 1930's books? What a great contribution to pop culture Mr. Flessel was. I'm not going to say I'm sad because the man lived almost 100 years, but what a body of work to leave behind. I wish I could've been there to talk to him before he passed like some of you did. I have a huge blown up poster I made of New Adventure 19 right behind me...
  6. BIG PROPS to CIORAC - Packs well, grades tight, and ships immediately! Shawn
  7. Won this auction tonight on ebay. $147 bucks and the seller claims it's a Fine -. As long as it's a VG it's worth the money!
  8. I love Life with Archie. I had a really high grade run of 1-50 complete a few years ago and sold it on ebay. I kick myself to this day!
  9. WOW! I have this book, and I've had it since I was a little kid! It's all beat to hell - I think at one point it was my "oldest" comic book from 1971-ish range. I probably read that 20 times before I was 8 years old! I wonder where the heck my copy is?
  10. Any search on crime data will show people that my fair state of Ohio probably has the most bad apples in it than NY, NJ, Cali, Michigan or Chicago. Ohioans have the dubious distinction of having top notch cities to engage in illegal activity which include but not limited to Cleveland, Cincinnati, Dayton, Youngstown, etc.... I enjoyed my visit to NYC. Had a blast and nobody messed with me. Now Chicago, ugghh, you couldn't pay me to go back. I'd rather hand out in Detroit or Flint before I ever go back to Chicago. I'm an Ohioan that's been to NYC, Boston, Detroit, and Chicago several times. Detroit ranks slightly below NY, with Boston and Chicago feeling much more "friendly" to me. I'd live in any of them except for Detroit. What a -box.
  11. I just bought my 2nd copy of Archie #2! Of course this is coverless, but for $25 I couldn't lay off it... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=270165667132&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=017
  12. So Andrew you get one for, and not lil' old me? I see where I rank!
  13. :o :o :o :o :o INDEED! :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o
  14. Snagged this on EBAY tonight for $180! From one of my favorite dealers too!
  15. Yeah I've contacted them a few times with no response asking them to remove the MLJ scans. I spent 5 long years scanning those. I just checked, and I scanned Jackpot 7 on October 14, 2003. Ye,s that's my thumb in the upper right.. Here's that Archie page pre-cropped (let's see that British site come up with this):
  16. Neither could Mr. Bedrock.... I am selling off my collection of moderns Let's pretend I could afford that Marvel Mystery of yours. What is the asking price for it? Shawn it says 10Cents on the cover I suspect mr bedrock will not be revealing costs on a killer book like that (just for privacy reasons), but if you know chicago's and you know high grade MMC, it is heavy 5 figure book easy For just a VF #5? It's not like a 9.4 Mile High book? (I know it's gorgeous and all, but is MM 5 a key? Also, Mr Bedrock being a dealer and all, I would assume it's for sale and has a pricetag...

  18. I like this better because I've never seen it before! And I couldn't afford Mr. Bedrock's two latest acquisitions!
  19. That's why Blank Hand has such a hand in them!!!! Nice Books; BH & BZ. Blank Hand? Oh gosh, am I shooting blanks?
  20. I can't understand why you didn't put these nice big pictures up with your ebay auctions?
  21. I guess I shouldn't be so critical - after all, it is like a NM from 1939. And a MLJ book!
