  1. Vince, how many posters do you have for the move "A Clockwork Orange"?
  2. I do! My Top-Notch #9 is better! This is my favorite golden age thread ever. I can't wait to hop on the boards to see what pictures are next! How about some Zip Comics? Fantastic Comics? Blue Ribbon Comics?
  3. One would think after 4 years on the boards you'd have figured out the quote function.
  4. Offhand, I know I have a March 1937, Western Picture Stories. I hope you keep all of these books and NOT put them on the market. Hand them down to your children / grandchildren. Keep them all together!
  5. or moved those two key Adventure Comics over more.
  6. And here is the little boy that shall inherit these fine comics (In about 25 years!)
  7. Were all those sweet Peps bought back then? Incredible collection by the way!
  8. To me, it doesn't get any better than this. THIS is what comic book collecting is all about! I can't wait until my 7 month old is old enough to hold my Archie #2 and smile! Great pic!
  9. Absolutely WONDERFUL book, October! That has to be one of the greatest Hitler covers ever! Gorgeous copy too!
  10. Well, well well. After some research, I have found the TRUE 2nd appearance of Archie. It was in Top-Notch Comics #22, cover dated December 1941. On the stands with Pep 22 in October 1941. And CHECK OUT ARCHIE'S HAIR COLOR!
  11. First Batman, first Spectre, etc. etc. are shown as house ads. Well, at best, that house ad would be tied for 3rd place, behind Pep 22 and 23. It was on the stands with Jackpot 4 and Pep 24. So it could be 3rd, 4th or 5th.
  12. I've always known Pep 22 to be on the stands in October, 1941, and Jackpot 4 (in Overstreet listed as "same month as Pep 22") when in reality Jackpot 4 was on the stand at the same time as Pep 24, the February 1942 copy. Jackpot was a quarterly book, and the #3 I had had a penciled in date of September 19, 1941, which would put the next issue, #4, on the stands in late December 1941. Ebayer "The Bigloo" is listing some bound volumes; note the pencilled in arrival dates: Pep 23: 11/18/1941 Pep 24: 12/17/1941 Jackpot 4: 12/19/1941 Now, will Overstreet please stop saying that Jackpot 4 was the same month as Pep 22? Will people please STOP saying that Jackpot 4 is the 2nd appearance of Archie? Because it's tied for 3rd place with Pep 24.
  13. Where does he keep finding these wonderful Adventures!! I have the whole series in the attic. I just pull a new one every now & then to irritate you. That's such a cool cover - it's funny how many covers depicted the "Skull and Crossbones" instead of actual countries' flags. I think I'll start a new thread about it!
  14. Which Marvel Mysteries do you need Filter? I have 35, 39, 40, 44. PM me.
  15. What a great book, NM. Awesome! I love those early Flash covers! What other early Flash do you have? Shawn
  16. Norrin, this thread should be stickied! Thanks for all the updates! Shawn
