It took 6 business days for my value books to move from received to SFG so hopefully yours will move tomorrow. My recent modern shipment moved to SFG in 1 business day though so that is a bit strange.

This is a really important point that I didn't understand the first submission I sent in. The most cost effective way to submit books is to try to bundle them together in 25 book batches if you can to get the best shipping rates. For example if you sent in 25 modern books and 1 value book you would need to pay separate shipping for each tier. If you look at the picture below it is $32 to ship 1 book back but $72 for 25 books or $2.88/book. Of course you don't want to slab books that aren't worth it but just be aware that it is more economical to try to bundle books into 25 book bundles/tier.

What percentage of an average sized bedroom do you think 10,000 comics would take up? Also, what is the approximate weight? Would you need to reinforce the flooring? I'm sure there are many people in here with 10,000+ comic collections but I am currently sitting at about 100 carefully selected issues and I am looking at about 5% of a bedroom closet.

Did you have to restart your computer before you completed the packing slip? That happened to me once and I had to recreate it and make sure I got the confirmation email. Make sure you complete it on the website and try to print from the email confirmation so you don't lose your work.

The CGC turnaround times are also MUCH faster than CCS. CGC is also faster than normal right now due to the lack of conventions. Keep an eye on the status for the next week or so. I submitted a shipment in March for CCS services and it took 88 days to get to CGC. Within 3 business days they made it through CGC received, scheduled for grading and grading/quality control. Based on their current turnaround times I am expecting them to be finalized and shipped by this Friday.

Did you not get an email with the packing slip once you submitted it? You should have received one. Check your junk folder.

It's also worth noting the the "clock" to meet your guaranteed delivery date starts when you print the shipping label so don't print it out and wait several days before you drop it off at the post office. Your buyer will be able to see that you printed the shipping label so best practice is to print and drop off same day if you can.

I just received the three books that I sent back to CGC for complimentary re-holder due to mechanical error scuffs, scratches and circular scuffs. All three had more scuffs, scratches and circular scuffs and two of the three look slightly worse than when I sent them back for re-holdering. I'm sure that CGC would agree to re-holder them a third time but I don't have a high degree of confidence that they would come back any better than they are now.

I had a similar issue on a re-holder shipment from CGC through USPS. The tracker still says it will be delivered today but the postal truck came by 8 hours ago. There was also a big delay between 29MAY and 02JUN. My assumption is they had to delay or divert trucks from their scheduled routes nationwide.

That's interesting. Roughly the same overall timeline for both tiers though. I called CGC about another matter last week and they told me the TAT for value was 50 days and 20 for modern right now . Based on all the current value and modern tiers reported in this thread the TAT is much faster than 50 and 20.

Well my 17 value tier comics were received this morning so hopefully I get the rapid fire treatment as well and they move to scheduled for grading tomorrow just like yours did.
