Awesome turtlemania!

Count me in as four, for any possible CGC SS appearance on the east coast! I can promise at least 20 books signed as well. I am excited!

Jared just paid a whopping sum for a grail he wanted, and that he luckily scored from me! I don't know how he got me to give up my favorite book, but he did.

Also I allowed him to pay over time, over a few months, which he did with no problems, and maintained excellent communication.

EDIT: Confession, although I had already read and was hooked on some pretty bloody/violent turtle books (Turtle soup), when the kiddy TV series came out, I was still a huge fan. I will admit I skipped school more than a few days JUST to watch the show. Any kids reading this, don't try this at home!

There is another "tell" on the back cover but I forget what it is. I've never owned one, but I'm sure someone else can chime in on this counterfeit.

You can tell a counterfeit by the back cover, there is a huge smudge on it.

Bad picture from an old ebay listing but you can see the white stripes and a smudge going horizontally about halfway down:

Holy cow man! I've been into Turtles #1 for a while and never knew that! I cannot believe it.

My mind is blown. How can a third print be labeled as a first? This is craziness.

Signatures look a bit wacky (but not that much), and the ink seems super dark, just like the counterfeit...
