  1. Not fully sure if all facilitators do it the same. But previous time I did something like that I did the CGC facilitator paperwork for that sig, and also did the CGC Signature Series paperwork for the signing they were offering. And sent both to the facilitator. Best bet would be to email Dan directly @dan@onestopcomicshop.com and ask him as he is the facilitator for this event. He responds fairly quickly to emails.
  2. I was able to do mine over the weekend. So, it was live then. Not sure if it's glitched or not now, but it was there on Saturday evening. Just checked and it's still there for me. Did you try clicking on that box? When I choose sig series and then click on the Facilitator Event box then it lights up the red border.
  3. Awesome! I will definitely be sending some books for this! I saw the facilitator event earlier this week and asked GalaxyCon and got told they weren't doing one. Then two days later they said they were, but the info they gave on it at that point was a little confusing. So, glad you all are doing it as I have had nothing but good experiences with you! And your info is much more clear. Want to support Peter David some as he was one of my favorite authors when I colllected comics in high school. And feel more comfortable sending more books in knowing you all are facilitating it!
  4. I am getting close to finishing the game on my first run through. Have enjoyed it so far. I am pretty sure my next main mission is either the last one, or second to last one. So, I have spent my last few hours of play time just trying to complete as many side missions and collectible stuff I can. Figure the higher the level I am and the more upgraded my weapons and armor are, the better off I will be in the final mission or two. Since, I know from others who have played it that the next main mission I have is an extremely long one.
  5. Mine and my friends books are both in limbo and appear to be part of the ones not done yet, and both our books were regular books, not blanks. But last time I got a remark on a regular cover from him, it was still fairly detailed and I'm sure took a little time.
  6. I just looked and saw the Remarque and the signature option. Maybe try again if you haven't already. It does get odd sometimes and I've had an option not show up and then an hour or two later its there. So, not unusual. But I did just see the signature option when I looked.
  7. Thanks! I did see him and Geoff Shaw listed at NYCC. I have set up to get something signed by Larsen and Whilce Portacio at that con thru Rich Henn as I hadn't seen either listed at a con in a while. Geoff Shaw I'm not sure if I will do cause he has cancelled his other appearances this year I'd seen him at, and the book I'd send for him would be a slab. So a little leery of it getting cracked and then him cancelling again. But thanks for looking out for me on the Erik Larsen front! I appreciate it!
  8. Yep. I had a Army of Darkness vs Re-Animator with a facilitator that he'd gotten Jeffrey Combs and Sam Raimi to sign, and when he got to Bruce, Bruce himself flat out refused to sign it. We both knew going into it that it was a possibility being a Dynamite book though. So, was worth the shot maybe he would. At least now he wrote the last Sgt Rock miniseries DC did. So, I'm sure he will sign one of those, so I will eventually try again.
  9. I agree with this now. Sadly, this wasn't always the case though. I know I haven't been in the grading game long, coming up on 6 years now. But first 4-5 years, if you sent in a 9.8, without pressing, for a signing, it would come back as a 9.8 99.9% of the time. Same with a 9.6. Last year to year and a half, you can send it a 9.8 and pay to have it pressed, and it still feels like its a 50/50 spoon shoot if it will come back the same. Not sure if the grading has just gotten more strict, or the graders now are not on the same page, or if they just aren't being handled as safely as before due to volume. I just know that something has changed that has got me to not send in any graded comic with any decent value for the signature series cause it will just come back worse.
  10. I don't know that I've ever gotten a grader note on a 9.6. Heck, I've got multiple 9.0's and 9.2's without any notes. Seems like notes are a crapshoot. Sucks though, and sorry for your grade drop. I had a Detective 1000 that had been signed several times and graded as a 9.8 twice, then when it got cracked to add Paul Dini at a CGC Signing event, it came back as a 9.2. So, no guarantee of anything when you are getting a slab cracked unfortunately. But that risk is everywhere. I had a 9.8 Infinity Gauntlet 1 cracked to add George Perez to it a year or so before he passed. It came back as a 9.2 with a small tear on the bottom of the cover. Looked like it must've got the tear when it was being taken out of the case. So, definitely no guarantee's when getting a slab cracked that it will come back the same.
  11. I have sent comics to both Agents of Slabs and One Stop Comic Shop for previous cons, and they are both great to work with! So, you can't go wrong with either.
  12. Mike Mignola Sam Kieth Mike Dringenberg Geoff Shaw Erik Larsen
  13. Twin City Comics will be there and are taking mail ins. For comics they give instruction on their website on how to send those in. For Celebs go to the shop on their website. You have to do Celeb mail in's thru their shop. Comic guests you do not. But you still do need to have certain info on your submission for Comic guests. I've already communicated with them some. That's how I know.
  14. I know Agent's of Slabs will be the CGC rep at the show. And they typically take mail in submissions for shows they are the CGC rep at. So you could try reaching out to them. They have a facebook page and a website you can message them on.
  15. Ron Frenz just got announced today. So one of your three is happening.
  16. I know Louise and Walt Simonson do multiple Cons a year. So, a June signing date most likely is just people getting books signed by them at a Con they were attending, or were sent to a CGC Facilitator who was attending that Con, not an official CGC Signature Series Signing. For the most part CGC just advertises and promotes their Signature Series Signings, not Con's Facilitators will be at or private signings by CGC Facilitator's.
  17. I did get an email from Twin Cities today also stating they will be doing mail in signings for Rose City. I emailed them and they said that they had some of the Celeb sig options on their website in their store. And that if you needed a different Celeb then what they had listed to email them about it. I specifically asked about comic book creators, and they said to follow the guidelines on their site about how to send it books, and that the charge would be $10 plus the sig cost for the creator. And that you would have them graded on your own CGC account. So what dza510 said a few weeks ago is definitely confirmed.
  18. With a slabbed book I typically just send in a backerboard with the CGC paper attached to it. Though I have also just sent in a slab with the CGC paper attached to the back of the slab. And have never had an issue. StillOnly25Cents is correct that they just put it in one of their window bags for the signing. Only reason to worry about sending in your own bag is if you are wanting to window bag it to have the artist sign in a particular location. If you don't care where it's signed on the cover, then its not necessary.
  19. I ended up doing multiple playthroughs on the Quarry. I ended up finding online deals that told you the specific decisions you have to make during what chapters to get the different trophies and endings. Some of them just required restarting on a higher chapter # and changing one or two things. So while I felt accomplished in getting all the trophies/endings, it was very grindy and repetitive, and I wasted a lot of time after work for a week to a week and a half to do it. So, you're probably smart to not go down that rabbit hole.
  20. The celeb signings they do are typically in conjunction with Ace Universe. So I think Ace handles those signings, they aren't a private signing that takes place at CGC headquarters. So seems like they only post a signing taking place when it's happening if it's at the CGC Headquarters. Aside from that they usually post pics after it's taken place on either Facebook or Instagram. But I went to the Ace Universe site, and the con that they were doing that Hailee was at appeared to be taking place this coming up weekend. So can't say for sure, but I would bet that will be when your book/s get signed by her.
  21. Typically CGC won't announce the actual date until the week of the signing or they'll post about it the day the signing happens. Due to creators having to change dates, sometimes at the last minute, they don't give dates until they know it's happening for sure. I've had signing happen within a few weeks to a month of the deadline, and I've had some that didn't occur for almost 6 months after the deadline. So no definitive way to guess. I hadn't seen anything about her yet though, so it most likely hasn't happened yet.
  22. I am pretty sure that he moved out of the country. So will definitely make it much more difficult to do one with him.
  23. I am also interested in this. Cause there are definitely a few comic guests I don't recall seeing much at cons/signings.
  24. @Rich_Henn Does Baltimore yearly. Have sent books to him multiple times for cons and private signing and he is great to work with!
  25. Definitely if you are wanting a certain location and color do your own bag to send with it. If you don't really care about location, then I typically just send in a backer board with the sig series card taped to it and they'll put the backer board and the comic in one of their yellow bags for the signing part of it.
