  1. I've given up trying to figure out how they decided who's got signed and for what signing. My box sat in their warehouse almost 2 months before it got checked in. But I know via friends and message boards that there are people whose box got to CGC at least a week or two after mine, that got checked in before mine ,and are already done and back to them. So guess maybe they're going by when books got checked in on you submission tracking deal. Oh well, the books I sent to get signed were for my personal collection so not like I'm losing out on any value cause I'm not planning on selling them anytime soon.
  2. I feel like mine weren't either. Which is kind of frustrating cause I know my box sat in their warehouse for 2 months before they finally checked it in. Oh well, what you gonna do?
  3. All of these are good suggestions. I would especially be interested in Romita Sr, Alex Ross, Brian Bolland, and Roger Stern! Another one I'd like to add would be J Michael Stryzinski
  4. I understand your pain. CGC received my box around the same time as yours in October, but it didn't get checked into my submission tracking til 12/7 at CCS. So almost a month and a half after they got my box. So since others with pressing have seen movement and mine has not, I'm guessing I got pushed to the January signing even though it was there weeks before the deadline. Oh well, I will still enjoy them when I finally get them!
  5. I am interested in the answer to this question also...
  6. Mine was picked up from their USPS Post Office box a few days after yours and also has not been logged yet.
  7. There should be 2 boxes you can click when it comes to shipping to options. One is to send it via Fedex thru them and print the label in advance, second was to ship yourself or ship on your own. That option lets you send it how you want to. At least I had 2 boxes pop up for me. But how it is worded on the option of sending on your own is definitely not clear and confusing, but that option should be there. Just looked and the box says ship on your own or show drop off.
  8. I had it happen on a book. I contacted customer service and they had me return the book as a mechanical error and they got the label corrected free of charge. When you do it as Mechanical Error you also get to print out a return label so shipping either way is also free to you.
  9. He was at a Con I was at end of September, and he was charging $30 to sign a witnessed book. So, my guess is he will be around that price for the con you are at also. So, if you add that to the price of grading for CGC, and compare it to the price for his in house signing price that should help. Thing to keep in mind is that the CGC in house signings pretty much include fast track grading with it. In my previous experience, the in house signings are typically better price wise then a con, once you add up all the charges you will eventually pay, unless you are able to get multiple signatures at the same con, that you couldn't also get in the same signing at CGC. Hopefully that makes sense and helps you out some.
  10. There are definitely random hold ups in places. Sometimes it sits in SFG, sometimes its GEI, but lately for me its been in Grading/Quality Control. My Last Ronin book sat there for almost a month. I had messaged them at a few weeks and they said it should ship soon. So I messaged again around 4 weeks and it ended up shipping by the next day. But when I got it the case was pretty badly damaged on the top and it wasn't the delivery service. Cause the box was in pristine shape. So my only thought is that it got dropped and jacked up at CGC, and someone just set it aside instead of getting the case replaced, until I messaged questioning it and they shipped it to me messed up. At least they are very easy to deal with when the case gets to you damaged and you can send it back as a mechanical error and get it reholdered without cost to you. So I'm not out anything other then my book being out of my possession again for another month or two.... Hopefully like my Jim Lee book, once it enters GEI for you, your Hama book moves thru the system quickly.
  11. So my Chuck Dixon/Graham Nolan book has been in Grading/Quality Control for a week. My Jim Lee/Williams/Sinclair book went to GEI 2 days ago, to G/QC today, and has already shipped. Yet the one that's been in G/QC for a week is still there. Happy to be finally having something finish and ship to me, but still baffled by the randomness in which things complete.
  12. Yes. My Jim Lee book did get pressed. But has been back at SFG for almost 3 weeks. So expected at least a little movement by this point.
  13. I have a few books I expected movement on that haven't moved at all. But today my book signed by Chuck Dixon and Graham Nolan finally moved to GEI. So at least I have something to look forward to soon as the rest of my books like my Jim Lee one still is sitting at SFG.
  14. Mine has been in Quality Control for at least 3 weeks at this point. And like you said, usually a day or two. Think longest I've waited before this was 7-10 days. But that was one random outlier, until the new record now. My friend who also went for the full group remark option got his back, shipped it back to them cause the label was messed up, and will probably get it back again before mine ships at this point. Oh well, I will eventually get it and be able to enjoy it!
  15. McFarlane would be on my list but since they just teased him coming back, I have 3 I have plenty of stuff I could add them to, but haven't seen a signing they have done since I've been in the sig series game: Alex Ross Roger Stern Mike Mignola
  16. My Mico Suayan book and my Mike Hawthorne book both have been completed and shipping labels have been created in the last 24 hours. So finally something has finished. My Last Ronin book has went to GEI before my Suayan and Hawthorne books, but hasn't moved any since.
  17. Mine moved to GEI near the end of their workday today also! Glad we are finally seeing some movement. Also, yesterday my Mike Hawthorne book went to GEI.
  18. Same with mine. I emailed last week asking about adding a special label since they added new ones after I sent my Suayan book in. They said signing was done last month so they couldn't add the label. But mine still haven't moved from SFG.
  19. My book was sent in raw, so no grade to retain. Though when I have sent in graded comics the grade very rarely changes.
  20. My Bendis non pressed book was marked as shipped Friday, though they still haven't given it to Fedex yet. And I had the same deal as you, where it said signed on 3/4 but my book was marked as received in submission tracking til 3/10.
  21. I was also wanting to get one of the death in the family comics double signed. Unfortunately all they gave me was some canned response about not being able to crossover comics between signings and how they work with the artists availability. So sadly sounds like a no go on the duel signing ops with Decarlo.
