  1. I'm really surprised someone hasn't already posted this: (I wouldn't mind knowing who owns the other copy in this grade)
  2. Funny Billy, we both just posted tough St. John books at nearly the same time!
  3. I recently picked this book up. It's right up my alley and it's the only one graded. I had never seen the book before so of course I instantly fell for it!
  4. I was actually surprised to see the book still available. If I wasn't already buying pulps here and there for the cool covers I wouldn't have considered this one. Not only is there one bikini clad hottie on this cover, but two!
  5. Pending my question... is that a pulp or a comic? Comic = heh... it's a pulp, with a full 32 page comic in it! Art by Joe Kubert and John Giunta. I thought it was an honest question Judging by the way the cover is turned in a little on all sides it looks typical of how pulps generally look.
  6. Nah, I know you got some hidden gems in that collection of yours!
  7. Picked this up today! I have it in the grading forum too. Came with a "More Fun Collection" certificate which I was told by both Matt Nelson and Bedrock that our very own Ciorac brought that collection to market!
  8. I'm going to post a Strictly Private #1 within the next two days in the marketplace. Pretty hard to find book (and it's a paratrooper cover ) Book posted there now
  9. No better nor worse than the average story. The advantage (from my POV) is that FH had a lot of recurring long-running characters so that the characters were quite well established which helped maintain a level of quality in the story. Sure, it led to repetition but it's better than the inanity of Timely's stories. Overall the stories are more repetitive & less "innovative / inventive" than National's stories but still fun for what they are. In the end, I rank them a step up from most other second-tier publishers thanks to the art. I agree! I'll add that if you're not collecting a Fiction House title (yet) it can be very addicting. The prices are generally pretty reasonable on them too compared to "hero" books.
  10. Looks better than a 6.0 to me. I'm guessing the PQ hurt it. The highest graded copy is a 6.5 My recent pick-up
  11. They're already expensive enough... go away
  12. There's a whole "grading" forum on these boards. By the looks of this photo though I'm thinking a 3.0-3.5  Scans would be best along with a back cover. Post it in the grading forum
  13. Ask him? Seriously though... Greg does not do sketches normally besides his goofy Emma Frost. If you get a chance to see him, ask him, or email him.
  14. These first two are from a board member too and the third one is another fairly recent pick-up:
  15. Here's another recent pick-up (from a board member)
  16. Glad someone bumped this thread. Here's a few I've picked up over the past few months that I don't recall displaying: DO these count? Some others:
