  1. I think there's a good chance it wouldve came back a 9.0 based on my previous non-pressed submission. I learned, or at least got the impression, that CGC wants the book to lie flat and for the cover to be as nice and smooth as possible. I feel like I got dinged for the imprints of the advertisements on the inside front cover showing through and for the spine having the natural curve from when it was first printed and folded. The nice thing about this is that I'm almost positive that I'll get a grade bump or two if I ever chose to crack and resubmit my books.
  2. I just got this book back a couple of weeks ago but I didnt know that my pre-grading pics were still available on this site. If anybody wants to give their skills a go I'll be posting the results this weekend. PS. The original responses were way off, lol.
  3. Im at a 8.5 too. Wouldn't be surprised if it comes back a 9.0 though.
  4. Great job on guessing the grade! Everyone was pretty much on the money👍
  5. 7.5, but I have seen 8.0's with a similar look.
  6. 3.0 because of the staining, other than that the book looks great. Congrats, that's big addition to any collection.
  7. Love this cover. Still trying to find a NM copy. Looks like a pretty solid copy. Definitely 9.4+ in my book.
  8. Wrong sub. I'm sure someone will pop up and point you in the right direction. From my experience you dont want to apply too much pressure or too much heat.
  9. Harsh grade. Looks like a 1.0 to me. Then again an Amazing Spiderman #1 in any grade is awesome to have in my book. Congrats👍
  10. I'm thinking 2.5 too. Great book to have and it will present nicely in a case.
  11. I was not aware of the light box process when I sent this in but it's nice to know that that option is available in the future. Still very happy with how this book looks like in the case
  12. I looked at various copies of this issue and it seems to be a printing error that shows up occasionally. Its definitely not tape pull.
  13. Definitely pressable. Too bad about that tear. I'd go with a 4.0 after a cnp. Really nice cover. Edit: That's assuming that the tear is under 2 inches.
