  1. Detective Comics #290. Colors have faded, and there is a dust shadow on the back cover, lets call it about a 4.5. Asking $40 Sold via PM
  2. I knew I had one. and Avon Fantasy Reader #5 as well.
  3. A couple of years ago I bought a copy of Tales to Astonish #16 in its raw state. I sent it in to be graded and it came back qualified as the top edge was trimmed. I pulled up a graded copy and placed my scan of TTA #16 when raw next to it, sizing up the pics to be identical in size. I'm finding it hard to spot the trim.
  4. Time for something in a higher grade? The Brave and the Bold #40 (7.5) - The 4th app. of Cave Carson. The book is very clean, the pages are just off-white, and the back of the book is quite nice. A comparable raw book on Ebay graded at 7.0 is selling for $150, and appears to have some minor creasing along the right front edge of the book Asking $90 Price Reduced $80
  5. Ran across this tribute to Paul, the artist for many a pulp cover and interior drawings, in the January 1933 issue of Wonder Stories. Two drawings by Paul from the September 1935 issue of Wonder Stories. Naturally Paul also drew the cover for that same issue.
  6. As luck would have I have a dog eager to walk the trail. I will be back in an hour or so.

  8. Journey Into Unknown Worlds #49 (2.0) & perhaps slightly better Tough book and one of the best robot covers IMHO chipping on the right edge and some creases, spine is still attached Found one on Ebay with large portion of cover corner missing, their ask is $99 Asking $80 Price reduced Asking $75 One last price reduction $70 SOLD to MattTheDuck

  10. I'm listing a few books today, mostly Atlas and perhaps a slab or other "stuff". No one on the Probation list please. Selling to U.S. buyers only I'm open to offer via PM, but will trump any ongoing negotiations. I prefer Pay-Pay, Money orders, or personal check (14 days to clear) Shipping will be $7 in an envelope sandwiched by cardboard or $17 for Priority Mail P.O. official box - your choice Thanks for looking and good luck!
  11. Any chance we can pick those books up for pennies on the dollar?
  12. Green guys wearing hoods bearing machine guns to a gangster with a machine gun
  13. Flaming intruder to flaming beast from the invisible world
  14. My top 5 PB's added to my collection this year, or the year in review briefly. It's a Free Country by Ben Williams. Originally published in 1945, Williams only wrote 3 more novels after this one Robert Carse was noted for his books about the sea, as he served on freighters early in his life and was on a ship in a convoy that was attacked by German submarines later on. Coxe wrote books in many genre's but excelled at crime fiction. H. Bedford Jones was exceptionally prolific and had many contributions to Blue Book, Argosy, Adventure, Detective Fiction Weekly, Weird Tales and numerous other pulps. Incredibly he wrote nearly 200 novels and earned the moniker "King of the Pulps". Hal Elson primarily wrote about Juvenile delinquency and was "credited" with inspiring Frederick Wertham, and this novel "Tomboy" was cited in the first chapter of "Seduction of the Innocent".
