  2. +1. Please don't. -J. +2. CGC SS and cover driven slabs have pushed sigs to an all time high. I had Stan sign my FF1 last summer --on the interior

  5. I like when this thread gets a bump. Nice AF15! I like the Sinister 6 in the background and MJ rescue.
  6. I like seeing it every time Thanks Bill. You should be the chairman of this club. Every time I see a Bat 1, I think of you. You too Primetime, second to Bill. Thanks guys. There is a custom title if I ever heard one "Chairman of the Batman #1 Club" it's official then (thumbs u

  8. yet that is exactly what it has done...tec 31 is "the" golden age cover to many dc enthusiasts and supply is very limited...that has created the pricing model... while batman 1 is a far superior complete package, up until recently, supply was seemingly readily available....so, by comparison to tec 31, there was less upward pricing pressure due to availability versus desirability scarcity vs. scarcity in the marketplace.
  9. Where did Tec #31 rank on the top GA books list in the late 1990's, prior to CGC? OSPG 29 (1999) - ranked 22nd OSPG 30 (2000) - ranked 21st Really shocked where TEC 31 stands in the ranks and the recent price movements. you think it should be higher or lower?

  11. Amazing how CGC has helped to raise demand and FMV of cover driven books.
  12. I think top tier characters in pop culture survive over decades of time since their inception. Not a few Hollywood movies, video games, or media hype suddenly qualify a character to be top tier. Cap certainly (as all superheroes in Hollywood) has benefited. I believe the Top tier characters in pop culture that have stood the test of time AND will continue to be top tier popular (current and future generations will still recognize and appreciate) are: 1. Mickey Mouse 2. Superman 3. Batman 4. Spider-Man 5. Wolverine
  13. I was 25 when I bought my first Cap 1 --it was a Fair
  14. I have owned three Cap 1s in my time and no copies of Supe 1. It's always been a cost factor and opportunity to buy a copy at the right time that has never netted a Supe 1 for me. Saying that, I prefer Cap over Supe from a character and coolness standpoint. But if given the choice to own a fourth Cap 1 or my first Supe 1, I'd take the Supe 1 due to rarity and the chance to own for the first time.
  15. better than 3.0 appeal for sure. Nice Jeff. That's a tough Sandman cover. I believe a copy with no BC and loose FC sold cheap on HA a few weeks ago.
