  1. The previous owner said the book was originally a 6.5 that was sent back to get a "new" label. CGC mixed up and put in a 6.0 by "accident" , so it will be back into a 6.5 (or maybe better )...it's definitely nicer than 6.0
  2. My first All Winners believe it or not . Good candidate for re-sub to CGC. Originally purchased raw as a 7.5. I think it's at least a 6.5/7.0 "trapped" in a 6.0 label. Possible File Copy. SICK colors. (thumbs u
  3. Good for you, Ben (great pages on that copy too!) Thanks Guys..This book is more like 4.5. CGC was tough on it...plus, the colors are BLAZING compared to the scan...Nedors are so cheap compared to Timelys And the Schomburg war covers are killer...
  4. Young Allies are probably the least popular of the mainstream Timely titles because the big 3 aren't in there...but the Schomburg art is still cool (thumbs u
  5. "Would be better to have both.... " I couldn't agree more, but fortunately I do! The Cap is mine and MC is Parkers MC #1 on "loan?"
  6. That is one of Schomburg's best airbrush covers! Nice granite countertop BTW
  7. Thank you Paul Yep, and it's a favorite of mine too + All Select 1 (thumbs u Looks like Pon's Con was festive!
  8. a BIG Timely grail has arrived for me I acquired it as a 5.0 Mod(P) but I think it's more like a 6.0 Mod (P)....no matter, it's a Cap 1 (thumbs u
  9. I don't own any Planets, but this cover is really cool for some reason (thumbs u
  10. And a *cool* Maple Leaf stamp on the FC You da Canadian Timely King Peter
  11. Very nice. This is actually one of my favourite FF covers. It's one that I owned as a kid and that I currently find iconic. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This FF cover has been catching my eye lately too...
  12. Nice Ken. Brian from A-1 is a great guy to buy from. Tight grading. I've been dealing with him since '93.
  13. When I was working on my FF run, it took me a long time to find a 17 that I liked. I think I ended up with a pretty nice 6.5. Yea, it's funny how some books you have better "luck" finding in grades preferred or w/out certain defects...like I try to avoid Marvel chipping as patience will bring you any SA Marvel under 9.0. Oddly, in 16 years collecting, this is my first FF 16.
  14. Thanks to Alan Bahr (Heroes Comics-Campbell, CA) for this FF 17. He has a really cool small comic shop that I enjoyed visiting this past Saturday. Lot's of SA keys there if you are looking for anything.... (thumbs u
  15. Thanks to Ken (Inaflash) for this FN- FF #16 that will be coming this week. I now (for the second time around in 10 years) have most of the FFs #1-28 that I need I still need a #27 though.
