  1. I can see it in my collection, it was in my house today! Not now I actually really like the pre hero tecs, and its a run I would love to have. Some books just call out to you! I heard that (thumbs u
  2. Cool Paul. Thanks for posting pics. CGC might go 6.0/6.5 with those corner creases on that Tec 10 Nice eye appeal otherwise. Love the green/purple logo which was not used to often in that color combo with many Pre-Bat Tecs....What other books does your friend have? I see that Tec 33 on the left side You only think 6.0/6.5mmmmm.....I can see that, but if you saw the whole book and then look at say this one... I would say VF easy, but then I have held the book in hand. That is an old label book if that means anything. It seems a little to dirty to be a 8.5 in my opinion...I'd go 7.0/7.5 on that Bat...
  3. Nice 33....very under rated Pre-Rob Tec--although it's valued higher in the guide than the 29 and 31, but slightly more commonly seen...
  4. PS...I can't see you with a Pre-Bat Tec in your collection Paul...not in your realm

  6. Oh, you BUGGER!!!! I was wondering why there was no Larson markings on the book! Wow, that book has been in the "family" for quite a while then. Cool story on how you got it. I think it was the Steranko book that turned me onto that cover too, and the George Oleshevsky (I'm sure I spelled it wrong) article on Overstreet #10 (I think) that really turned me on to Timely's! It had a great cover gallery, and then lots of nice interior shots of splash pages. (wish I that Overstreet wasn't in storage). I have a copy of the Overstreet #10 you are seaking of Ryan, and, yes, if you don't collect Timelys or can't pony up premium $$, one should not read it! Great article! It will have you grooling for Torch/Subby battle issues.
  7. Thank you Ryan, I am very pleased!!! I missed having a HT 12 in my collection, even if it was only 3-4 months! And going from a 7.0 SA to CGC 8.5 Blue 2nd highest copy is nice as well. Paul Glad it's finally coming home Paul The 12 and 8 are the besst covers in the Torch run in my opinion
  8. I do. I plan on eventually posting some scans of them. Here's an old photo that shows a Spicy Mystery. They're pretty nifty, too. Very nice.
  9. I got to get me one of those, the #3 has the same great feel. Can't help but wonder if some of the better pulp covers(and there are a lot of them) were on comics, the demand and value would be insane. It really is untapped market for fantastic art covers, and some excellent reading. I picked all of these up for under between 3-6 bucks a piece, except the one startling with Capt. Futrue which was more. So for the price of a new comic I got a whole lot of reading and some real fun covers to enjoy. Paul Yes, I forgot MM # 3 (Angel cover) has that Pulp feeling. Post a scan of your # 3 here Paul!
  10. Nice Pulps Paul! Great Covers. I don't own any pulps, but this is the closest I have. I've always thought Schomburg drew this 2nd Torch cover in a very "Pulp" like fashion (thumbs u
  11. Thanks Paul. I agree. I haven't bought a new comic off the stands since 1992. I am just not as excited with the art or stories. They are still good, but I prefer the GA art and SA stories. PT
  12. that really is one hell of a set of covers. Thanks Billy. Just a "small" rep of your cool collection (thumbs u
  13. Here are my Timelys (thumbs u Classic Pulp-like Schomburg cover Classic Torch vs.Subby Battle Issue---this copy is a far cry from my former 3.0 copy Cool Schomburg parachute cover! (thumbs u The BEST Cap cover! Love that whoppin' machine gun Cap!
  14. Yah, Rick mentioned it belonged to you at one point...did you get it from Heritage? And, YES, I need a Tec 31 and a 29...got one for me?
  15. 1st time posting all my Tec's together in this thread... Enjoy.
  16. Nice PQ on the FF #6 CGC 6.5 Makes me miss my CGC 9.0 FF #6
  17. WOW Ryan! You have amassed a small, but very COOL and RARE set of GA I think you should add a Marvel 1 and 5 to your grail set
