  1. I don’t own this 13 anymore, but I like it second behind the 18 in the pre Bat run. Nice, big ‘ole Flessel sig box.
  2. The second generation CGC label on this copy certainly does not mention O’Mealia as the Fu Manchu artist.
  3. My favorite Flessel cover. Just wish his signature was on the 18 cover. It would have been nicely placed on the wooden stool. Perhaps his signature was somewhere along the perimeter and it was cut off on the original art when it went to sizing and print…
  4. I’m glad the 6 is finally coming around. It’s always been one of my favorite early FFs. Thanks to @G.A.tor for the slabbed copy earlier this year. Full Subby left foot (cut toes are more common), no miscut Doom word balloon or boxes, and dark greens on Doom’s cowl, cape, hands, and feet. 👌🏽
  5. I believe you are correct. Unless, Marvel Mystery 36 counts as a tunnel cover🤔 but it’s more of a zoomed out perspective. Schomburg was the master at drawing perspectives. I love the tunnel depth on the 15. I still think the 36 tunnel is the same scene on the 15 cover even though Schomburg made a tight squeeze on the 36 tunnel - can’t get a tank through that 😂
  6. The only Spidey Ditko signed covers that are shown up to print are #2, #3, and #9. Most artists signed the original art to the covers but often after sizing and printing, signatures were cut off and not shown in the final product. Schomburg had all his covers signed in the golden age but some covers had his sig cut off.
  7. Yup…just like Action 20 (missing Superman logo on his chest) and Tec 29 (missing Bat logo from his chest)…history repeats itself Jack wasn’t familiar with drawing Spidey very much so I’m sure it was an honest omission.
  8. 👌🏽👌🏽 Strange Tales Annual 2 actually is tied with ASM 4 as Spidey’s fifth overall appearance ever. Both books being released in June, 1963. AF15 - June 1962 ASM 1 - Dec 1962 ASM 2 - Feb 1963 ASM 3 - April 1963 ASM 4/ST Ann 2 - June 1963
  9. My former copies with the right dark green that I prefer
  10. Here’s my raw copy. Not so great greens on the monster, but no chipping.
  11. Good question. My copy is a lousy raw VG+, maybe? The cartoon was hilarious to watch.
  12. Welcome 🤗 to the Marvel Age of Comics ❣️
  13. My favorite page of the book. I like their shared word balloon and common thought in panel four (coincidentally!)
  14. Crash 💥 landing with a frightened Sue Storm.
