  1. Here’s a better one https://comics.ha.com/itm/golden-age-1938-1955-/superhero/marvel-comics-1-timely-1939-cgc-vg-45-off-white-to-white-pages/a/7266-91041.s?ic16=ViewItem-Auction-Open-OtherAvailable-081514
  2. 3.0 for me. I would have preserved the arrival date (March 3, 1959) and not cleaned it off, but I’m into arrival dates.
  3. FF 218 (May,1980) - this was the first Marvel I can remember choosing off the spinner rack at my local 7-Eleven. I still have my original owner copy, which, oddly, is a direct edition. I asked Steve Geppi how this could be possible and he said it was likely the local 7-elevens bought from a direct market distributor and, therefore, received direct editions. What is interesting is that I bought many newsstand comics at the same 7-eleven. I think the owner of the 7-eleven may have bought unsold direct editions from other retainers to re-sell…who knows, but it became a “fantastic” memory for me @CW @Ameri Amongst the sea of copies I own are high grade slabs, my OO copy, a mark jeweler’s insert copy, and a double cover. I only look for special or unique copies. A copy with a full date stamp would be nice to own, but FDS copies in this time period are scarce. A CGC 9.4 copy also would fit nicely
  4. I picked up another 12 with brighter colors than my raw copy. The reds and orange are really nice in the slabbed copy. I’m usually not a fan of miscuts along right edges on silver age marvels, which is very common on FF12s…but I wanted a copy that had a full Hulk right hand. Jack really outdid himself on the Hulk looking so much like Frankenstein on this cover
  5. I relive old hits when I’m bored, so decided to complete my 1-20 run (again) with a 16 and 17
  6. Been awhile since I had a 33, but couldn’t resist the Subby splash
  7. These landed in my lap today…arrival dates on each
  8. 2.5 Nice full date stamp, but it is one year too early as this book was on the stands in January, 1965. Undoubtedly, this copy was stamped with the incorrect year when X-men 4 was on the stands.
