I'm thinking about driving up early Sunday from Indy... Sort of a last minute decision so wanted to ask if its possible to grab a ticket/pass at the door?
I doubt that'll be an issue, Josh, especially on Sunday

Yes, starting to look a bit like one of those CGC graded books when they was going through one of their real extremely loose grading time periods. And to top it off, supposedly White Pages which is a real killer for a book from jay's point of view.
This is what happens when you go into an auction too late and you end up putting in tracking bids or sure fire losing bids that are too high.
I am just glad it didn't hit my max bid.
Also found a 5.5 "graded copy" of Brenda Starr 14 with the classic Kamen bondage cover from some grading company called CGGroup World. No idea what that is, but it definitely looks quite a bit nicer and more tightly graded than the Archie 50 above, which means it must have undisclosed restoration for sure. If I remember correctly, it cost me about twice as much for the Brenda Starr as compared to the Archie 50.
The good thing about being a long term collector though, is that time tends to heal all things, including bad purchasing mistakes hopefully.
CGG was PGX's original name before being forced to change it, as it too closely resembled CGC

Was he around 30 years old, about 6' tall with short dark hair? Might be David Arnold.
That would be my guess

Theres a lot of stuff to buy. I saw what people purchased before I even showed up and still brought about 2 short boxes full.
This. Not sure what you collect, but there's a lot of quality GA books at the show. Prices tend to match the quality of the material, especially the high end stuff, but there's plenty of other books that aren't early Actions or Schomburg Timelys. That been said, I know someone that was looking for a GSX 1 and couldn't find a dealer with a copy at the show

Still hoping for pics, and any intel on 2019 dates won’t hurt either...
Working in it. I actually had to work at the convention today

did you see Greggy?
No. Wasn't there long enough to run into him. I'm sure he'll complain about something when I see him tomorrow

Set-up day today. Saw Bob Storms at the registration table, and Dale Roberts going through dealer boxes
