Yes. Yes, I did. But not really with expectation that it would get processed sooner. More so because this whole shipment was FT and I thought it might be helpful. Typically I send mixed tiers and write nothing. I have heard of people doing 50 book subs and including 1 express tier book just so it gets opened right away. Disappointing that that's what it's come too.

Or not. Scary headline but 50% more of nothing is still nothing. Take S Corps from the article, 50% increase of 0.01% is 0.015% or 15 out of 100000. If you are a Schedule C flier clocking in less than $100K in gross income it's even less. Impossible? No. Improbable? Highly. Fifty new examiners is like saying there are 50 new graded ASM 300s on the census....doesn't move the needle. For the Service, the fear of an audit is it's most powerful weapon in compliance. Audits suck, don't get me wrong. They are a huge expenditure of time & effort and just not worth the anxiety over slicking Uncle Sam out of a few extra dollars. If you keep written records to the best of your ability, I wouldn't lose sleep at night. And if you are the type to run fast and loose, well you probably can sleep soundly too knowing the odds are way in your favor.

I was picking up what you were laying down. Yeah, before long it'll take a month to get marked received and almost 3 to get graded at the modern tier. I don't see submissions dropping off, so until they expand we are all stuck on that slow boat to nowhere.

Yes. Since, for me, this was a rare single tier submission, I did write “Fast Track Modern” all over the outside with really no expectations. If anything maybe it’d cut a day of the 2+ week wait.

All I can tell you is this...I ship UPS but yes, it was delivered Friday on 2/19 and very very surprisingly marked received this morning, Monday 02/22. It's an outlier for sure and as such, I wouldn't base any sort of expectation on it regarding your own submission. Although I can't argue with your thinking, sometimes there's just no rhyme or reason to the inner workings of CGC. For all you know, my package fell out of one bin and got misplaced in to another. I just chalk it up to plain dumb luck. I personally have 2 other submissions delivered over the last 2 weeks still waiting to be marked received. So, yeah.
