Notice how all of a sudden the provenance has changed slightly...must be reading this thread....xD ."All of the books that you see are from a original owner which was my wife’s father or from my personal collection! He bought these high grade books fresh off the news stands threw out his childhood threw adulthood!! All of them are in high grade as he & I are very picky guys when it came to books."

I'm not sure I can think of anything comic related that I disagree with more. Romita was smooth and elegant. Andru was jagged and jarring.

I'm much more forgiving of Andru's war stuff from the 50s and 60s though.

Agree that JR SR was consistent as all get out and his figures always had movement and placing w/ the surroundings that seemed natural. Andru's City spatial effects were excellent though. Andru's faces always also had wonky jawlines..JR's women were beautiful. Just  MHO.

You have a pictures of yours? I hear they are really getting tough with these

No, Just in the slab...my scanner does well / raw but not w/ slabs. Mine does have the tiny bottom mark but the corners are razor sharp.

  5. The first place I could find that sold back issues in NOVA when I started as a kid  was a College used bookstore (George Mason).and the other was a new/used bookstore in Oakton....early 70's. no comic shops at that time until a few years later.. Alwx and FFX. I had to also rely on Passaic and TBG. Great times.
