Oh, they saw you coming. And every comment made in this thread. I think this thread was created by CGC to try to convince people to submit copies of this book they'd never in a million years submit.

I guess it's who you know. This copy has the least of a tear than any copy I've ever found. It even has less of a tear than any of the 9.8's that have been posted so far. I guess they forgot to tell the new graders that the tear doesn't count on this book.

This is truly sage advice. After having read everything in the thread you linked to, as well as the PGM thread I'm even more convinced that I dodged a bullet. Thanks again for your input, and the input of all others aimed at helping me avoid potential disasters with that seller. I'm glad you got your money back. That really was the best case scenario for you. You were wise to come here asking questions. The folks here can sniff out a turd in a rose garden.

Shark how did you feel about their grading? Really tight? Definitely. I was happy with a lot of the books in 4 different submissions but many of them were....uh, let's say....surprises. I just got books back yesterday. They're grading stupid tight right now. I don't know if it's the new graders or what, but it's ridiculous.

If you have West telling you something, I'd listen. Aside from the guy who actually did the resto to the book, you're not going to get a more qualified opinion on it.

Beginning when exactly? Pong? Atari? Intellivision? Commodore64? Nintendo? Sega? Xbox? Are you really making the argument that every generation of console the innovation has been less than previously? I think he's saying that games themselves have lost innovation. Basically that the games being played now are the same games and game formats that were invented 15-20 years ago. The only thing that's changing is that the graphics are prettier.
