  1. Very cool. I love the fold-ins. There are several distinct pieces that I remember from my childhood that I would love to own the OA. *sigh*
  2. When did you goggle the word, "jejune"? I remember it from reading the dictionary in grade school. We used the word to poke fun at a friend of mine who's parent's names were Je"June" and Je"Jim."
  3. This is the most jejune battle of wits I've ever witnessed.
  4. So, are you back to stay a while or just visiting? Back and buying. Sell me something. Like what? Your love. WB, Brian.
  5. So, are you back to stay a while or just visiting? We can sacrifice JC to Kong and have OG return.
  6. I was on a board once where people could alter other peoples custom titles and avatars. It was, shall we say, interesting. Of course, that board was unmoderated. Something like that here would make certain boardies go out of their minds. A long time ago, I was on a board that let you make your own custom title once you hit like 10k posts.
  7. I'll give you a custom title you won't soon forget.
  8. What's going on in here?
  9. When this thread first started, I was trying to remember what the gun was I had as a 7 yr old and I think this was it....But I don't remember it being a Marvel toy...Was there another version ? Other than Megos, the only thing more important to me at that time was food....maybe oxygen..... Come to think of it, Megos came in first. Yeah. Mine wasn't the Marvel version. Mine was red/white/blue and had barrels you knocked down.
  10. Transformers were the best toys. Still have my optimus that I got in 1985, but no longer in the condition in your picture. Nice acquisition. Getting old toys back are great. I know this is a comic forum but anybody have any interest in getting a section for toys on the forum? Brother, I've been thinking this a lot lately. If they are not interested in a new section, it would be great if a thread like this could be a permanent sticky in this section. It seems like this happens about once every month. To me, it's just like the new comic acquisition sticky thread. I agree! This thread should be a sticky thread,I love looking back and checking out old toys that I had forgotten about. Also if anyone has a Great Garloo in the original box let me know. They don't make that much noise busting up a water main in the middle of the street.
  11. I love threads like these because toys I completely forgot about come flooding back to my memory.
  12. I don't know. I think I see a hidden vajayjay in the folds of the robe.
  13. Anyone remember these? I had 4 or 5 different ones and absolutely loved putting them together. I probably had a half dozen friends that bought them and nobody had put more than a couple of pieces together. They'd come to my house and comment on how cool mine were because they were assembled. I guess it was too tedious for them. I thought they were the shiznit.
  14. well snap if we are going to include electronic and video games I am going to have to post some nintendo games (which I actively collect now but had to settle for playing at a friend's house as a kid!) these are a few of the games I fondly remember playing at my buddy's house back in 1987/88. Of course we played with opened copies back then. In order to prove my status as a dateless nerd I selected box versions appropriate to the 1987/88 time period. (extremely minor changes in 89). I can remember playing Mike Tyson's Punch Out so much it felt like my nails were going to push completely through the insides of my thumbs.
  15. As a child of the '80's it was all Star Wars, GI Joe and Transformers. Going along with the football theme here, I loved the NFL Action Team Mate figures. Very hard to find now and most of the ones you find are damaged or missing the boxes/accessories. I remember spending hours just smashing these guys together. Like Megos, many came in both boxes or on cards. They had African American figures too, which are pretty rare today. They were about 7 or 8 inches tall I think and they had removable helmets too which was really cool. What was really cool is each figure came with a full set of decals so you could change the numbers to whatever player you wanted. I remember those.
  16. "Pocket Fux"? Unfortunately I never had those.
  17. Didn't realize they made benwahs in starter sizes.
  18. Anyone remember those shrunken heads you made from apples? Those were major kick azz.
  19. Oh my God I've been looking for that Green Ghost game forever! That's funny. I bought a collection of everything (comics, cards, movie posters, games, action figures, etc) five years ago that had one. It was actually still sealed...sold it for maybe $150 or so. Mine is still at granddad's house. I should probably ask if he still has it. Mine!
