  1. I know and I am sorry for you too. I don't mind waiting for books but to be told misinformation and then not even provide a courtesy email explaining what happened. I find this totally unacceptable behavior. I am beyond pissed right now. When I saw that the Paypal dispute was updated and he did not email me directly, that was completely wrong. If you put him on the list, he is not removed from the list until YOU ask for him to be removed. Until he goes out of his way to make whatever right for you, leave him there.
  2. ...and let me know when you decide to sell it.
  3. Because he's a lawyer, and that's the only way anyone will listen to them.
  4. We should change the name of pressing to "Smashification".
  5. Yeah. That seems to work for people that jump over the wall of the lion exhibit at the zoo all the time, too.
  6. Yeah. The wire comes in different colors. Silver, Gold, Bronze, hell I've even seen blue and yellow. It's not uncommon for different colored wire to be on different machines.
  7. Looking at the books in your post, I would guess the insert was added after the fact only because there was a problem in production. Such as there was a mix up, where they ran off all the books without the insert before they remembered that they were supposed to do some with it. This would be quite possible, and I'd bet it happened more than a few times. I don't think it was normal to put in the insert like this. It should be put in with the same two stitches that hold the book together. Your books were definitely hand-jobs. Also, the near identical cover wrap, color strike, and production wrinkle, lead me to believe these two books were produced very close together. Perhaps even consecutive issues. Very cool to have in your collection.

Here I am with the quarterly on this thread. New guys...start reading it from the first post. You won't be sorry. Veteran guys...get ready to pizz yourself. You know the drill. Classic comedy just gets better with time.
  10. Don't get me wrong. I love the series and will continue to buy new issues to support it. But I may start letting them pile up for 10-12 months before reading them. The 5 minute fix every month is not enough. Especially when you're in the midst of a 6 issue set-up.
  11. Since the breach at the prison, all issues have pretty much been set-ups. I was spoiled up until that point because I was reading them as the trades came out. Now that I'm buying them off the shelf, I'm starting to feel let down when I go through 5 issues of nothing. Now, mind you, I understand that after the breach where every-friggin-body died, that they have a job ahead of them to get another climax started. However, there hasn't even been a notable roamer killing for a long time. The "heard" is danger, but it feels like something that's being handled at arms length, and there's no real danger. Everyone is able to keep away from them. What I've enjoyed about the series so far is the fact that a) it's been handled as I feel it would be handled if this situation were real, and b) the fact that the characters, no matter how *important* we think they are, can be killed in a matter of a few panels. If it doesn't pick up in another issue or two, I may forget it for about a year, then set aside an hour to read what I've missed in that time.
  12. No . . . he should be BANNED for wearing those jammies - MODS notified! I'll say this. I hope this person learned a couple of things here. DONT mess with the grinder. And for heavens sake, never let a picture of yourself in P.J.'s out loose in the unsuspecting world. Especially with members like Dice lurking around. DRX WTF dragging me into this? I didn't do anything to the fool. Your right. I dont know how a thought like that could have entered my mind. DRX

  14. The last 5 have been filler issues. They're adding as many people as they can before they start...thinning them out. Did you guys read the first letter on the letters page? I cracked up.
  15. There are very few Adlard covers that I like, so I'm not really noticing a decline in the cover quality. #59 was sweet, but it seemed like it was only 8 pages. It ended before I wanted it to.
  16. Oh mess. I forgot. I'll have to sneak out early this afternoon and pick it up.
  17. Yeah, you're right, I guess we don't have to talk in "spoilers" since people who aren't up to date probably do avoid this discussion thread You have some good points, and I too miss that friendship that Rick and Tyrese had I did gain a lot more respect for Abraham's character with this issue Please continue to keep the spoilers. I only read this series in trade form, so I'm probably eight months behind you guys. (thumbs u
  18. Just finished it. Could be, but I'm guessing he saves something like that for issue #60 You might be right since that would be roughly the last issue in the next TPB. He's good at leaving cliffhangers on the TPB's.
  19. Loothy! You got some 'splainin' to do! no much to 'splain really, just an unholy amount of overtime at work. Got a few packages out today, the rest are going out tommorow. Again, sorry guys for the delayed shipping, certainly did not mean for it to go this far! Is that Greggy after a weekend convention? No. His genitals can ignite without assistance.
  20. That's called a "trap". Where colors overlap because if they did not, there would be white areas between the color and the black. The press can not hold perfect registration, therefore the colors are overlapped a little to keep a registration variance from *looking* like there is a registration variance. In areas as you're describing, those were done that way because it saved time, and because it was assumed the black would cover it up. If the black strike was weak, you'd see the sloppiness underneath. The stronger the density of the black, the less obvious it would be. The problem was at the separator/prepress house. The "colorist" didn't actually do anything that directly resulted in the end product. They took a black and white xerox and colored it with dyes. That told the separator/prepress house what colors to put on the plates behind the black and white artwork.
