  1. He was my favorite artist and probably a lot of artist’s favorite artist
  2. Not great for overall value but it’s not worthless. All versions of Ultimate Spidey 1 sell for at least $10+
  3. This is a reprinting. Not a first print newsstand. Likely the KB Toys version. First prints had the CCA above the upc box
  4. Do yourself a favor and block noejim71
  5. I've been having sold listing visibility issues. Say a search reads 21 sold, I'll only see 6 items
  6. That’s funny cause solicitors who sell chocolates to raise funds come into comic stores often asking if it’s okay to loiter
  7. New Mutants 1-100 is the entire series. Unless you’re referring to current Legacy numbering which is unlikely that he has them.
  8. A lot of titles might only have 1-2 keys in the entire series run of possibly 100+ issues in it. Unless it’s Amazing Spider-Man, Batman, Detective Comics or X-Men which have many good ones spread throughout the decades
  9. As a big lot they sell well together. But Classic X-Men is copper age tho ;)
  10. I just wait outside after the sellers walk in with inherited comics on Saturdays. Shop employees don’t know how to handle these situations.
  11. I tried buying them but he wants a lot. I don’t pay 50-60%. I pay somewhere around 30%. That said he is the original owner who bought these in the 80s and in the 90s. So he’s had these “babies” for decades. He values them greatly and has attachment. He brought up the consignment idea first and then I agreed it’s best to help him out. He’s also in a financial situation where he needs the funds soon as he is out of work
  12. There’s going to be comics in those boxes that aren’t worth your time looking up. Those are dollar comics. The job right now is to pull out all the keys and noteworthy comics of value. The difficult part is that if you aren’t knowledgeable w years of experience in comics you won’t know. You should hire someone in your area who is comic savvy to assist. Go to the next comic show in your area and whoever’s there digging through boxes before the show starts are the guys you’re going to want to talk to. They know what’s good.
  13. Yes these are raw vintage comics from the original owner. For the most part they’re all bagged/boarded. I will be selling them for him. It’s about two longboxes full plus extras
  14. Yeah, idk why the dealer would be on his way without guarantees. Usually you have to space out meeting times and give the whole “if the other guy flakes I’ll let you know”. Two ppl shouldn’t be heading to the same private deal
  15. 2022 update to an old thread I found which had consensus on about 40%. My question is that 40% rate before or after eBay fees? I’m consigning a Bronze Age Marvel original owner collection and it has many keys. Some SA also. I’m looking to sell in person first then online
