  1. I applied to AC w the sole intention of taking a passion at the time PD.. I did not get accepted but 2 of my other DE friends did. I got accepted to all the other LA "art" schools like Roski, Otis, AI, etc .. ultimately I went to a better school.. (not RISD).. I did spend time at the Raymond campus though
  2. Zatanna 1 Special from 1987 sold for $60 with nicer copies abundantly listed for $10.. that I don’t get…. That listing was not private!
  3. I’ve waited months for orders on the CGC threads. It’s no issue to me. I’m a no rush type of buyer. There’s comics I’ve claimed in Voltage’s sales thread months ago in November last year. I’m ok waiting
  4. Yeah there’s no reason to give 95% refund of $100. That $5 difference might lead to a negative. I have to offer free 30 days refunds as part of eBay’s Top Rated Seller requirement. Leads to a lot of “just didn’t like it” but that’s the cost of saving on some fees
  5. I don’t deal with problems like this. I avoid arguments and headaches. I offer 100% free returns and fully refund buyers requested amounts. I don’t have time for hassle. If a buyer doesn’t want the item they can send it back. I’m like Walmart. Why should you force them to keep something they don’t want. I haven’t had a negative in handful of years
  6. Of all the people who buy stamps how many also buy comics? Heck even the USPS Action Comics 1 commemorative edition still sells for decent amounts. Stamps are not a niche market, comics are
  7. This is pretty insane. I was buying the original for cheaper than this price. It was cheap not so long ago https://www.ebay.com/itm/Marvels-Greatest-Comics-50-Bronze-age-FF-67-Reprint-1st-Warlock-VF-/373914104400?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m2548.l6249&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0
  8. Just don’t place boxes underneath the table
  9. Character returns don’t have long term values in my experience
  10. That’s assuming you’ve found 20 dollar books that are worth it .. it’s rare occasion like an untouched collection
  11. Wait, includes a staple, bag, and COA.. now that’s what I call a bargain!
  12. So it’s a slow flip. I’m wondering since u have so many multiples if u ever held onto em for the long haul
  13. Anybody shop at Galaxy of Comics? I haven’t been there in a couple of years. I used to find gems in their dangerous sliding bins and their wall
  14. It’s also about satisfaction and fulfillment. I’m not interested in Alpha Flight 1 or Spawn 1s or anything abundant and commonly overprinted from the 80s or 90s.. it’s gotta be rarer even if Alpha Flight 1 sells for a lot in 9.8 which it does to your point
  15. Congrats what’s the story? A true DC collector letting go of his worthless Marvels
  16. While everyone is digging thru new $1 boxes I’ll typically take a look at the newly priced books/key boxes first. (The stuff that hasn’t hit the wall due to space). $1 books are plentiful and take too much time. I circle back to those last. You can find a $30-100 book in the $1 bins but an underpriced $200-300 book in the key boxes for probably 10-20x the cost of a dollar comic. Yes, I’d rather pay $20 for a $200 comic than $1 for a $80-100 comic. Bigger profit
